Frankly, my family always encouraged me to become a doctor at the hospital, so I grew up having the dream of joining the Medicine School to fulfill my family’s ambition which I thought it was mine too. In grade 10, I was studying at night and suddenly the electricity went off and that made me think what if I am a doctor doing a life-and-death surgery for a patient and the power goes out. I thought about energy recourses and other medical equipment the doctors use, who made them? I started thinking that I can provide more services than doctors do. I can design and produce items that all use and provide reliable and sustainable energy for us all. From that night, I decided to study an engineering-related discipline, and upon completing high school and after consulting a Mechanical Engineering graduate who explicitly explained to me what mechanical Engineering is all about, I found that Mechanical Engineering is the best choice among the engineering fields.
During my undergraduate studies, I had the ambition of contributing to solve some of the major problems in the world. Indubitably, the world we live in is facing so many challenges and problems concerning energy crisis and climate change. Recently, Yemen is encountering a great power shortage which doesn’t meet its population and infrastructure power demands. One of the great challenge and the sacristy of electricity in
Living in hope, with our beliefs and with little expectation of others is the way forward. My parents, simple and honest people, have high expectations of me wishing that I grew to be an honorable human being, just like them. Martin Luther King’s life inspires the determined and I agree that to give up in life or stop is deplorable. Irrespective of the hurdles, to push forward with all of one’s might is the only way to succeed. Living this philosophy, my father, a genuine rags to riches story, altered my life, leading by example and encouraging me to follow the path of righteousness.
Provided how squeamish I can be, I did not want to become a medical health professional despite my ancestral lineage’s commonality of such professions. This trend led my family to expect me to mirror my grandfather’s career and become a medical physician. My family viewed health care workers as the optimal profession for humanitarian purposes. However, my grandfather believed that an engineer creates solutions to human problems and thus can have a larger human impact than a health professional. I decided to major in chemical engineering as an undergraduate with his words in mind.
As a mechanical engineering student with an acute interest in the industrial work environment, I have understood the principles of mechanical engineering those are applicable to most of the machines, tools and processes which naturally widens my scope of learning and research. This has raised the interest in me to explore the option of pursuing my masters in mechanical engineering from your prestigious university which would not only help in increasing my knowledge but also prepare me in the best possible way to attain my ambitions. I was introduced to machines from a very early age when I used to accompany my father to his factory. I learnt about steam turbine, broilers, compressing machines, lathe machines, steam turbines and lube blending plant
I decided that I wanted to be a doctor my freshman year of high school. I did not know what kind of doctor, but I knew I wanted to help people. Through my upbringing in a military family, I often saw people in pain whether it was from the loss of a loved one, injury of a loved one, or an injury or sickness of themselves. Once I became fully aware of all the pain around me, I decided that the best way for me to help these people was to pursue a job in the healthcare field and become a doctor. Though my path in healthcare I would be able to improve their quality of life and lessen their pain, which is very rewarding and is one the driving forces of my pursuit of a higher education. As I continued my education in middle school and high school
The development of every nation hinges on the effectiveness of their transportation systems. Movement of goods, services and people to and from work is made possible by transportation systems. The importance of effective transportation systems cannot be over-emphasized. A lot of countries are facing Transportation problems and my country Ghana is no exception. A trip of about 30 minutes can take about an hour or more due to traffic jams. This is seriously impacting productivity and has been a topical issue in the country. The situation is the same in Uganda where I currently work. To this end, Transportation Engineers are needed to design roads/ highways that will stand the test of time, plan effective traffic management systems to reduce travel
My rendezvous with Mechanical Engineering began during my school days, when we visited a toy manufacturing facility as part of our educational tour. I remember watching in amazement, an array of complex machines working in unison to transform plastic and metal into intricately contoured toys. Even at that age, my mind was able to comprehend the sheer genius of the wizards who engineered those magnificent machines. It was then that I aspired to enter this intriguing branch of mechanical engineering.
Mechanical Engineering has not only given us inventions such as the car that have improved our lives but also captured the imagination of the world through space travel and the Apollo missions. To achieve breakthrough in technology, we will always need great mentors, state-of-art infrastructure and real motivation and Lawrence Tech is one of them.
We live in an era where most of everyday life is made easy by inventions and innovations. Majority of the inventions are done by integration of different technologies which allows the creation of complex applications to become a reality, thus emphasizing its importance. Such integration could do revolutionary changes in every aspect and helps reduce waste, times, costs, allows producing a broader range of products. This highlights the importance of the powerful tools and concepts of Mechanical engineering which when applied effectively can revolutionize the face of any system.
Chemical engineering is always fascinating because I have a wish to apply scientific theories to the real world problems such as nuclear waste problem. Today chemical engineering plays a vital role from pharmaceuticals to petrochemical. You can give to the society in technological innovation and there is a wide range of career path in the field of chemical engineering. While opting for chemical engineering the concern towards the industrial world is essential. My attentiveness in the chemical engineering field that has inspired and self-motivated me by the chemical engineers and my plan is to pursue my career in the field of chemical engineering.
My passion for engineering was kindled during my childhood when I spent numerous hours poring over my late grandfather’s hand-written notes. A seasoned mechanical and communications engineer, he worked with the Tank Division of the Indian Army. The yellowed pages of his notes splattered with black ink, calculations, and drawings cast a spell on me! Years later, while working in the assembly plant of General Motors in India, I was equally captivated by the buzzing and lively atmosphere of the plant. It was a treat to watch man and machine working in tandem, efficiently rolling out state of the art engines and passenger cars. Thus, here I am, embarking on the path of pursuing my dream by applying for the Industrial Engineering program at your esteemed university.
Engineering is the creative application of scientific principles to design/develop a product or a process. Thus the vast majority of products we commonly use in day to day living have been designed by an engineer, probably even the seat you are sat in right now. The field of engineering is near limitless and this is why I feel engineering is the subject for me, as there is always a tougher challenge.
I consider this phase in my life to be the most momenteous, wherein I have to decide
Since childhood I was fascinated towards machines and I always stand against the idea of cramming the textbooks for the sake of good grades. For me, Science and Engineering is about Learning and Application. Can you imagine the Air Bus A380 airliner, the largest passenger airliner in history, which is packed with cutting-edge technology, owes its very existence to the most unlikely breakthroughs - a Mongolian bow and a 19th century rocket? I learnt this while watching “Engineering Connections” show on National Geographic.
My aspirations to work at the frontiers of the Mechanical field lead me to apply to your university. After considering my aptitude, interests, my undergraduate Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree and my ultimate professional goal, I have decided to pursue Graduate study in my field of interest. My long-term career objective is to pursue a competent and demanding job in Mechanical Industries and Graduate study at your esteemed University would be the stepping-stone towards the same. My admiration and liking for the Mechanical Industry and its practices came through my Industrial Training at Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Gujarat Refinery, Vadodara, the National Oil Company of India, as a part of course curriculum. I at times, when permitted, accompanied my guide on his visits to his work sites. Realizing the importance of Mechanical Engineers in this industry for quenching the world’s energy demand, opting for Mechanical Engineering at Babaria Institute Of Technology was therefore a calculative and valuable choice for me.
I am in pursuit of a life where the education I choose lets me explore the wealth of knowledge and wisdom. I strongly recognize that manufacturing engineering is the domain where my purpose and passion mingle. It is my earnest belief that the education in manufacturing engineering that I have received until now has helped me to grasp the fundamental principles of the subject. This knowledge, when coupled with dedicated master’s study would be the ideal preparation for a career in applied research or academics in the manufacturing industry, a vast field of science from developing new materials to manufacture an aircraft. After giving a visit to an Aero India Show last year in Bangalore has, developed a curiosity in me to know the manufacturing world of an aerospace industry. It is for this reason that I wish to pursue a Masters course in Aerospace Engineering in the “Aerospace Structures and Materials track” from Delft University of Technology.
