Once the analysis of the current APFT exercises have been completed the research will move on to the combat oriented tasks described in the TRADOC PT Manual. This leads us into stage two of the research. The tasks describe within the manual can be found within chapter 13 of the manual. The TRADOC manual is also Army wide guidance concerning what types of tasks Soldiers must be able to perform in combat situations. The actions prescribed in the manual will be evaluated on the same criteria as the current APFT format. The tasks specifically include: marching, running, lifting from ground and overhead, lunching pushing and rotations. These actions will again be broken down into the different body actions used in each movement and associated with the type of muscle contractions used. The TRADOC Tasks will be categorized and their characteristics identified on the following graph.
The goal is to reinforce the use of the existing training tools. During the initial competition, all units are Mystery Shopped 10 times per month for two months. Additionally, a live Call Center is used to call every unit 6 times per month for two months. During this call, the person who answers must complete a 5 question quiz on proper standards.

The three different types of exercises are: Table Top, Functional and Full Scale. Table Top is a written exercise where the participants respond to a scenario that is presented, it represents low stress for the participant. The Functional exercise also takes place under a controlled environment: the participants have to react to the information that is supplied, this represents a more stress than the Table Top. Finally, Full-Scale exercises take place in real time and in the actual field. Individuals, vehicles, and other gear is mobilized as if the event is actually happening. Alarms, sirens and emergency lights are activated. The Full-Scale exercise is the most effective at assessing the preparedness of emergency response personnel and equipment,
I wanted to take the opportunity and convey my gratitude regarding the level of support received during the events leading up to and execution of WOBC Phase II Class 16-002 ALE to this point. The RCTD support staff, both in the stealth room and BMC, have been first class in every aspect. Their ability to adapt to mission requirement makes a challenging exercise seamless and allows us to focus our attention on training the Army's newest aviators. However limited that ability may be (myself and Mr. Oaks' ability), I believe with the help of your staff we were able to achieve a realistic, meaningful, and relevant environment for our class to learn. This level of professionally supported training sets the conditions necessary for these aviators
When responding to the exercise scenario, which emergency preparedness components or capabilities were activated within the simulation by each of the various entities of the medical and health care system?

This assessment will determine your starting point and appropriate placement in the Training Program. You and your assistant (if any) will review your results to determine which training schedule you will follow. Commit to spending approximately 2 hours per day, 3 to 5 times a week in the conduct of physical training. Whether you follow the guidelines or begin training at a higher level, this program will help prepare you for the requirements of becoming a “Speed Warrior”. If you follow
The reason for this memo is to inform you of a minor injury I experienced during the last Physical training session.
In an orderly fashion, we file through the scullery and form up outside the chow hall to march to the parade deck for close order drill. The fragrant autumn air lingers around us as Drill Instructor Staff Sergeant Baker bellows, “Atten-haugh!”
