Nelson Mandela was a great leader and left a legacy by winning epic political battles, by making everyone have their rights, and he was president not for the rich stuff but to help out with people’s health, housing, and education. In these next paragraphs they will talk about Nelson Mandela’s childhood. Also about his life in jail and why he went to jail. Lastly, about his president life and how he became president.

Everyone has their own idea of what a hero is and what a hero does. Most people think that guys like superman and batman are heroes because they have incredible superpowers and they are famous people who receive glory. Many people describe heroes as strong and indestructible people, however, heroes are actually not always famous and they are not always the way that society portrays them. In fact, most heroes are ordinary people who do extraordinary things and have notable traits for society to follow. Although heroes are mostly overlooked or misinterpreted by many people, a hero is always a courageous, selfless, and persistent person who has the determination to create change for the better.

Nelson Mandela was a very important part in the success of African Americans gaining their own rights. I believe if it wasn’t for him there still could be segregation in South Africa. He risked his life to gain rights, he protested in many peaceful ways and was thrown in jail for twenty seven years. Nelson Mandela is one of the most important leaders of the twentieth century. He changed the world for many people living in South Africa and he really made a difference in the society of South Africa. He helped make it an equal and non segregated country and he gave people the ability to be free and prove themselves what they can do. Anyone who influences anyone else by saving or helping save his or her lives can be a hero. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. changed the lives of millions of people by bringing justice to minorities. Mahatma Gandhi, one of the greatest heroes, led a nonviolent revolution to free his country. Even a parent can be a hero to his or her child by leading them in the right direction. All teachers are heroes when they make it their job to teach a child anything that will help them in life. You don’t have to go to great lengths by risking your life to make a difference in someone else’s life.

According to Joseph Campbell, "A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself" . This means that a hero is person who is made a sacrifice for the good of others. A Hero is defined by the Merriam-Webster dictionary as "a man admired for his achievements and noble qualities" . This means that a hero is someone people look up to. Anyone can be a hero. Heroes have qualities such as bravery, strength, and selflessness. Mothers, soldiers, and Odysseus are all examples of heroes.

What is a hero? A hero can be defined as many things to military people, first responders or simply just casual civilians walking about the streets it all comes to one thing. Three traits i think hero's have are people that are willing to stand up for others natural born leaders and brave people.all of these make a great hero that can be hidden inside of everybody weather they know it or not they could be a hero just waiting to see something then spring into action and release hero traits truthfully everybody can be a hero.

A hero to me is somebody who goes out of their way to help others for the better. There is no better definition of a hero than anyone who works for good and never turns their back on those in need.

Heroism exists everywhere, despite the time period or occurrence. Many people believe that heroism can only be one concept or a certain type of person, but heroism is all around us in all shapes and forms. A hero is someone who helps people in some way. They can risk something, even their own lives. Heroes improve the world and make it a better place for at least one person, or they can prevent it from being even worse. However, a hero is not someone who is utterly evil or someone who sits around all day, doing nothing.

Everyone has someone they consider a hero. Heroes can be anyone with astounding courage and strength. Individuals who choose to risk their own life to increase the happiness and fairness in others’ lives are heroes. A hero is someone who is daring, cunning, and humble. A great example of someone who is a hero is Neil Armstrong because he was daring, honorable, and, of course, brave.

A person who overcomes antagonistic and unnecessary issues in a mature and powering manor. That is the definition of a hero to me. Someone who is being hurt and sees others hurt from the actions and takes charge and does everything in his power to change it. Someone who puts others before themselves and acts in the most chivalrous way. The definition of a hero is different for everyone. Some one might think of a hero as someone who can lift a car and put it on their back, or gives a dying person their kidney. Yes all of those people are forms of hero’s. You can’t tell someone that they are not a hero just because they don’t change into a disguise in a telephone both or can throw lightning bolts from a cloud. Everyone is a hero in their

People think of heroism in a very different way.Individuals who hold specific positions or just people who are known by way of doing something to make a difference . Anyone can be a hero . It is just the way you carry and present yourself . Also it is what your intentions are, either  they are helpful and useless.

Hero does not have to be one to save lives to be considered a hero. Well it all depends on what we define and see as a hero. A hero is someone who is determined to do good, no matter the cost; someone who will put their own lives at risk and remain calm to the face the danger.

What is a hero? Well a hero is people like Thor and Wonder Woman, actually no they are heroes but let’s think about people in general. Well what a hero really is, a hero is someone who is helping, willing and self sacrificing. A hero does what they can to fix a problem 1st or 3rd world problems they are willing to fix the problems that are beneficial. Now a hero also has to be cognitive because heroes have to make decisions every single day that also could lead to life or death situations. People who might be considered as a hero under this criteria could be teachers, specific people like Abraham Lincoln, Harriet Tubman, and Malala Yousafzai, but definitely not people like Kim Jong Un & loan sharks. Basically to sum up a hero is really in general is just a helpful, willing, self sacrificial, and a smart person who teaches.

Anyone can be a hero, even you! A hero does not have to be someone with powers or a costume. A hero is someone or something that you can look up to or admire. All heroes are not perfect, and they can make mistakes as would a regular human. There is a difference though because heroes have the enormous responsibility. They are always being signaled, and they are always expected to do the right thing. Heroes are many times forced to test their character which leads them to realize their potential. Many times we think that heroes have to do something great to become a hero, but that is not true. Any small, helpful act that can lead to something good is an act of heroism and shows who is a hero.
