Psychopathy is a personality disorder characterized by enduring diminished empathy, remorse, and disinhibited or bold behavioring antisocial behavior, A psychopath is a person with a psychopathic personality,which manifests as a moral and antisocial behavior. They lack the ability to love or establish meaningful relationships. Psychopaths fail to learn from experience. Psychopathy is among one of the most difficult disorders to recognize. A psychopath can appear normal or even charming. Underneath, they lack conscience and empathy. This makes them manipulative, volatile and sometimes (but by no means always) criminal. There are many symptoms associated with psychopaths. A psychopath may be unreliable with no sense of responsibility. They have absence of delusions and other signs of irrational thinking. People who are diagnosed with psychopathy have what it takes to defraud others: they can be fast talkers, they can be charming, they can be self-assured and at ease in social situations; they are cool under pressure, unfazed by the possibility of being found out, and totally ruthless. And even when they are exposed, they can carry on as if nothing has happened, often making their accusers the targets of accusations of being victimized by them. James Fallon, a neuroscientist attending the UC Irvine School of Medicine began reviewing and studying scans of the human brain. Soon enough he began to notice a pattern in the scans of some people who were thought to be psychopaths. In each scan they all appeared to have low levels of activity in a region of the brain located towards its center at the base of the frontal and temporal lobes.
