Genetics and DNA provide the structure for living and in a social context in our everyday experiences in the world. By giving us a better understanding on describing human evolution. I believe that both genetics and DNA has challenged my conception of what it means to be human. The reason being is that throughout time science has been able to use technology that allows people to use genetics and DNA to create what they would call a “perfect human”. By that I mean a couple who is unable to conceive can get to a sperm bank and literally pick and choose how they want their child to look like. Another thing science has been able to do is cloning of others.
1. Weather is the current state of the atmosphere. Climate is the long-term weather conditions for an area or region. Some examples of weather will be tornadoes, hurricanes and flooding. When it comes to climate common examples will be tropical, polar, marine, and Mediterranean. The difference between weather and climate is that climate is a long-term weather. We can say that climate is like the “official” weather of the region or country. For example, in Dominican Republic, our climate is tropical. On the other hand, weather is the current situation on the region or country.

One of the assignment I chose for math was a test. I chose this assignment because one of the hardest test †hey I have ever done. Many phrases could accurately describe the concept of mathematics and more specifically break down the eccentric content in which math depicts different theorems and ideas that mathematics has been presented in. I would say that three phrases would be the idea of it being “complex” in its relation to always building upon another idea and the “big picture” ideas that can never be truly understood without understanding another concept on mathematics. The second phrase would be “always changing” because of the idea that mathematics has never been set in stone and is always being changed and discovered anew due to new revolutions and discoveries being made in the field every single day. The final concept is the fact that “it’s everywhere” in reference to the idea that mathematics can always be applied and found in all aspects of daily life and there is no true way to escape the concept on mathematics and the always expanding ideas it brings to society.

This course has affected me in my development as a student by helping ease into returning to school. I started this semester apprehensive because I have been out of school for 17 years. It is tough returning to school especially with technology having changed so much over the years; there was no such thing as online classes in 2000. This course has reacquainted me with my study habits and time management skills. Since the very first lesson in Unit 1, this class has showed me what is available on the Kaplan website for students to use. It also taught me to communicate online and general class information. This information is good for someone like me who is first-time online student. It also has helped me with my time management skills. It made me realize that I could make better use of my time. The adjustments I made in my time management has made me more productive, with balancing two classes, work and my home life.
Teaching the Holocaust is a controversial topic. However, we need to teach it to our students. This should be taught in order to help students understand what happened, aid with moral issues, and conformity.
In my final project, I wanted to talk about Holocaust survivors. The reason this topic is important to me is that without these survivors stories we would not know the hard times that Jews went through before, during, and after the Holocaust. Men, Women, and children were affected by the Holocaust. Thousands of Jews died from starvation, executions, and gas chambers but the few survivors who lived now live with their horrific experience. Even though they lived to tell their story they live with constant fear.
