In 1996 the largest population consisted of people aged 30-50, there were not as many people in the dependency load. In 2011, there were more people aged 40-65, who are getting close to retirement. There are not as many babies being born today as previous years because people are choosing to not have as many children. The baby boomers are getting older and there will soon be more people in the dependency load as the workforce. In 2011 there were more people ages 85 and up because nowadays people have been able to live longer.

2011 is a stationary population pyramid. There is roughly an even amount of people in each age group except that there are less people aged 70 and up. For 1995, it is an expansive pyramid because there are a lot more people in the younger ages. There was a large workforce with a lot of younger aged people in the dependency load. Both pyramids reflect a high birth rate, there are a lot of children under the age of 4 in the Northwest Territories.
c. Yellowknife has around 500 immigrants who have arrived recently between 2001 and 2006. The immigrants make up 3% of the population, 36% come from the Philippines, 18% come from Ghana, 9% from Vietnam, 7% from the U.S and 5% of China. As a result of the cold climate and a small population of 20 000, not many immigrants have chosen to live in

The Taiga Shield Ecozone is made up of wetlands, shrublands, meadows and open forests. This Ecozone is a subarctic region therefore, the cold temperatures make it hard for vegetation to grow. There are trees, such as the coniferous species black and white spruce, tamarack, and dwarf pines. Most of them are stunted and do not reach full growth because of the climate. The tree line is at the northern edge of the Taiga Shield Ecozone and beyond the tree line is where the arctic tundra is. The soils found in this Ecozone are very thin and highly leached. The Taiga Shield has igneous, metamorphic and, sedimentary rock. These types of rocks are located in the Taiga Shield because of the volcanoes that formed it originally and the
Throughout the last three decades, increasing numbers of Asians have migrated to Canada from all over the Asian continent. Currently, 44% of the Vancouver area population is of Asian descent (Statistics Canada, 2001). Immigrants commonly occupy skilled job positions that the host nation is unable to fill with its own citizens, and thus they offer many advantages to their receiving country. In a nation with a declining birthrate, such as Canada, their contribution can play a major role on multiple levels. The immigrants themselves often enjoy a greater earning potential than they did in their native country, which can be advantageous for those who wish to send money back home to support their families.
Stress, we all have it in our lives and for some of us it affects us in ways we do not even realise it. This causes me great discomfort as this leads me to not even have the ability to begin my tasks as I am concerned about how I will be able to complete it on time. Once I am able to resolve this predicament I will be confident enough about accomplishing all my tasks and concluding these tasks to my best effort.
Vancouver is a multi-cultural city which has increase lot of foreigners. Some people argue that foreigners and immigrants influence them negatively such as the high price of houses, insurances, and living budget. However, "immigrants have contributed to the development of this city when the issue is exam from another perspective because this group of people plays an important role in the whole society."(Requal, 2017). Immigrated people brings new job opportunities and labor force to Vancouver. On the other hand, they lead new funds to develop the economy and urban development. It make people earn more income and improve their living standard. Immigrated people who came from different countries celebrate their unique festivals making Vancouver to be a multicultural city.

1. In order for the education system to change and be multiracial there are different sections where you need to work from. Starting from the curriculum structure subjects such as science and math should recognize inventors who created science and math theories. When it comes to english and history; english should allow teachers to pick their authors and subjects that they think their students will be able to enjoy while learning the standards needed for that grade. “…Educators must have knowledge of children’s live outside of school so as to recognize their strengths” (Delpit, 242). As a minority my self having teachers who gave us the options to read books where we could relate to the characters and story lines it was easier for us to actually
1. Weather is the current state of the atmosphere. Climate is the long-term weather conditions for an area or region. Some examples of weather will be tornadoes, hurricanes and flooding. When it comes to climate common examples will be tropical, polar, marine, and Mediterranean. The difference between weather and climate is that climate is a long-term weather. We can say that climate is like the “official” weather of the region or country. For example, in Dominican Republic, our climate is tropical. On the other hand, weather is the current situation on the region or country.
When I first ran the coding, the program was not working. Using the debugger, I found out that the program was not reading the file. By looking into the variables, I noticed that the some data were missing. The following is the list of my correction to fix the coding.

During the analysis, two noticeable factors that bear the most implication to the industry are the population growth rate and the age distribution within the population. The current U.S. population growth rate is .78 percent per year (CIA, 2016). According to historical data, the United States population since 2006 had an estimated 298.36 million people. Since that time, rapid population growth has averaged about 2 million people yearly over the course of ten years according to Figure1.1. Also, Figure 1.1 displays an upward trend in population growth within the United States. Today, the U.S. population should grow to become 321 million by the end of the year 2016. The number of people in the world has increased three decades ago from 4 billion to 6 billion people as of 10 years ago to
One graph is showing US birth rates, by the mothers age during the years 1990-2009. This graph shows that the largest growing age of a mother is 40-44 years. In 1990 it was about 5.2 thousand and in 2009 it shows it has grown to approximately 10 thousand women. Women in the age ranges of 25-29 years, 20-24 years, and 30-34 years have remained consistent during the 10 year period.
Figure 1, taken from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) (Australian Bureau of Statistics, 2015), shows Australia’s demographic trend of an ageing population between 1995 and 2015. It can be noted that the proportion of Australia 's population aged 15-49 years remained fairly stable, however during the same period, the proportion of people aged 55 years and over increased from 11.9% to 15.0% and the proportion of people aged 85 years and over almost doubled from 1.1% of the total population in 1995 to 2% in 2015.
Since 1867, the year of the confederation Canada has allowed over 17 million migrates into our boarders legally. With each new year, the number of migrates allowed in Canada varied, depending on causal effects within our world, and the personal lives of migrates. There are many different reasons as to why migrates come to Canada. Research describes how immigration has a positive effect on Canada. Some people may think immigration is a disgrace, do to their own judgment, and lack of education upon this social issue. The groundwork of this paper will demonstrate contributing factors of immigration, as well as regional factors, obstacles migrants must face coming to Canada, how our economy has been impacted.
From our observations, we have found out that “Elsewhere” is a developing country and is needier for goods and services than “Somewhere” which is a developed country and is not as needy as “Elsewhere”. We think “Elsewhere” is a developing country because it has more of an increasing population, than “Somewhere” which has a declining population but is roughly evenly distributed throughout all the age groups. We get to observe how the age group of people 10-19 have a total population in “Elsewhere”, that is way larger than the age 10-19 population for “Somewhere”. The cause of this could be, “Elsewhere” looks like the data was composed 10 years after a baby boom in the late 90’s, because of how greatly the population had bumped up in the 10-19 age group. “Elsewhere’s” total population for the elderly (80+) is
