Reflection On A Mock Interview At Roanoke Valley Early College

The mock interview was a terrific experience that I will always cherish for how it prepared for the future. A lot of time and effort was put in from everyone to have a successful interview process was put in, so I believe that makes the event more noteworthy. Even though, we are only freshman at Roanoke Valley Early College, I feel there was a significant impact made by the interviews and the prepping that was poured into making this process exceptional. Not only for all those individuals who were involved, but also an impact on our school and the businesses that the “Chamber of Commerence” referred to us. This assisted in giving us a small amount of background information about the workforce. But as of late, we have conversed about completing a job applicatiosa11n, cover letters, appropriate attire, resumes, and various interview tips. A job application is a document stating to an employer that you are interested in a desired occupation or job opening. Without a job application, your probability of getting hired spirals down instantly as the employer believes you have little to no true ambition for that position. You should be honest and also very specific. Resumes are also very important. They are a brief overview of someone’s qualifications and experiences. This is essential to solidify yourself as great candidate for the occupation desired or at least a step in the right direction. A cover letter will also enhance the potential of you getting the job.
The interview tips we review in class greatly helped me understand the expectations my interviewer may have of me, especially because of me attending the early college and my variety of skills and achievements listed on my resume. The questions were not only directed to the job I would was requesting, but also background information of me, additional from my resume and job application.
