In my opinion, I think Openness and Responsibility can help me be successful in ENG107 class. First, openness is very important. If I don't open my mind to learn new things, I can't even get new information from instructor. Second, Responsibility help me to get good grade. I need to turn in all assignment on time and reading book for a pop quiz.

One day I was ask to transfer Mrs X from bed into wheelchair. Mrs X is paralised so to transfer her a full body hoist is needed. I had to call for help, it wouldn’t be safe to do this by myself. So while I was waiting for the other carer to arrive I have explained to Mrs X what and how we are going to do it. I have also cheked the hoist and battery if its fully charged and operational. I put right size sling on Mrs X with her cooperation. I carefully manovered hoist close to bed, then I hooked sling onto the hoist with short hooks on to of the body and long hooks on bottom. That was when my collegue arrived to help me with transfer. We asked Mrs X if she is ready when she said yes by pushing
In many situations in my life, I have been personally accountable for my actions. Every part of being who I am has something to do with morality. Being responsible and accountable for what I do is something I take very personally. It is a key point in my personality and a critical part of being part of the US Army.
Due to my recent troubles at work I have been counseled twice in the past several weeks. This has given me a lot of time to reflect at the way I have really presented myself in the Army thus far. I have not always been the best Soldier that I could have been during most of the time I that I have been in so far. Thinking about this does bother me, it means that I could be trying harder to get ahead and better myself as a Soldier and a person. Lets say for example I have been late to work twice in the past several weeks not only to include missing a pt formation altogether. I did this by not ensuring that i had met alo of my neds to ensure that i woudl wake up in the morning. But by doing
In the army accountability is everything. The definition of accountability is an obligation or willingness to accept responsibility or to account for ones actions. You have to have accountability for everything you do formation ceremonies to the items that you carry on you every day I’m going to give you 5 examples of when and why accountability would be very important example one having accountability of your soldiers if you are a NCO you always need to know where your solider are because fort Bragg is a rapid deployment base and if your platoon gets called up to be on GRF and your soldiers are not where they are supposed to be then it is not only your ass its everyone in the platoon. You need to
Reflecting on this course over this semester, there have been many lessons learned that will be valuable, as we enter the business world. Our first lesson was to learn to work together, as a team, to prepare a short memo, long memo, letter, and email for use in the business world. This is a lesson that will experience many times as we do our daily work. Punctuation and grammar are so important to present to the client and other organizations that we are professionals. It could mean the loss of a sale or acquiring new business. It’s like dressing for work; looking professional or unprofessional.
The raspy wind rises in swirls, encircling the entirety of my lean body. The parched, coarse sand scrapes across my angular face, burying and scraping itself into the warmth of fresh, open wounds. The sun scorches my skin raw, condemning the violence, the blood, and the screams that seem to echo all throughout the lifeless mountain side. Welcome to Afghanistan. Bitter laughter fills my head.
I 've grown in English 9 because of the readings we do. The habit of heart in mind I use most in that class is effort. Even though my grades aren 't as high, well I have a B, I still put a lot of effort in my work. I didn 't use confidence because I didn 't really think I did good on some work. Like on my essays, I feel like I do alright but I end up doing better than I expected. I am most proud that I turned in my work. I only have 2 classworks/homeworks that I did bad. I have a 89% in that class, one point from a A! The most important skill I learned in this class is how answering questions can really help you understand the book. I also learned how to set up essays and what they are wanted. If I could go back and do something differently is I guess put a little bit more effort in that class because I am one point away from a A. Next year, I want my work to have a lot of effort and long answers with a lot of details. The most important thing I 've learned so far is how reading can improve your writing. English the beggining, was a great because I read many books. I am also proud on the partner work. That was independent with no teachers. It just depended on us. So of course, we where responsible and did all of our work. My team also created a drawing that wasn 't all that but I am still proud about it!!
In the two months I have been in soc 101 there have been many key things to take away from this course. The key thing that has stuck in my mind was culture. It was shocking to find out that about 55 percent of Canadians regard multiculturalism as good. Something that also caught my attention in the discussion of culture that was key was ethnocentrism which is the belief that one person is better than another solely on their heritage an example would be like a white person telling a Muslim person to take off their traditional clothing as he wants the Muslim to act like him and his culture he might feel threatened that they are coming here to take away his culture as if the white person does not have the same standards they want to change it
Early in the year I was diagnosed with depression that rendered me unable to complete my dissertation to any fit standard. Primarily, my ability to focus was very negatively affected, crippling my ability to do effective research and to write a serious academic document.
The Whole30 plan is sinking in for me; hearing from some you who are tagging along is cool too. I have met the challenge by remaining genuine to a seasonal canvas of colorful vegetables and fruits-- swaying away from the grains, beans, legumes, and dairy. Often I pull something together and ask how this can be ‘compliant’ (code word for Whole30-heads).
As previously described in my previous writing, I wrote a rather large research paper on the financial crisis of 2008. In this writing I will be piggy backing off of my last assignment in which I wrote about my strategies on finding sources and creating a coherent paper. I will link passages from texts that we have read throughout the semester to my actual writing style and strategies.
I went to a school called Milton Hershey School located in Hershey, PA. Milton Hershey School is a private/boarding school. High school experiences for me included writing a research paper, personal statement and writing about my hero. My strength in the writing program was that I spent time on it and put in a lot of knowledge into it. Students were required to do presentations/essays and present to the class very often. They wanted us to practice our public speaking. I would say this is why I am very good at public speaking and speaking in general.
Before taking WRTG 101, I had no formal instruction in formal writing. My only writing experience came from high school and the Military. In high school, I would write reports on different subjects such as art or history; however, these were not college level writing assignments. There was no specific format, such as APA or MLA, to follow. The Military has its own unique way of writing that is not quite like any other writing. Much of Military writing is in the form of email, which is not very formal. It tends to utilize abbreviations and lingo that most people outside of the Military would not understand. However, a small portion of Military writing is formal. For this type of writing, there is a correspondence manual to follow; this manual is very exact as to wording and format of letters and papers. However, this type of writing in the Military is not very common, especially among the lower ranks. WRTG 101 has given me the skills, such as researching topics and writing in certain formats, as well as the knowledge, such as how to find information to help with citations and references, necessary to write effectively at a college level.
I would like to be admitted into 9th grade Honors English due to my desire to be an extraordinary author someday. This class will teach me great techniques for future assignments and create a foundation for further exploration. I especially enjoy writing stories, essays, and paragraphs on imaginative topics in a way that helps get people thinking.
