During the late 1700’s, a writer named Taylor Swift wrote a pamphlet called A Modest Proposal to inform Ireland of drastic measures it they would need to take to survive. While his ideas may seem barbaric when reading it for the first time, there’s a deeper meaning behind it. While reading it, one may feel a rush of emotions, like hatred or disgust, that was part of Swift’s idea. Swift used drastic ideas and unethical morals and to draw emotions and vision out of his readers.
