Teacher and parent awareness is one of main obstacles in preventing bullying prevention. Teachers and parents do not take bullying as being serious and underestimate the effects it has on children (Cohen, 2008). It is reported that 85% of teachers think they intervene to stop bullying, however only 35% of students feel that teachers do (Cohen, 2008). Many parents and teachers do not have the proper knowledge on what establishes bullying. They see bullying as only being violence and ignore the verbal assaults that are occurring (Cohen, 2008). They do not know the signs to look for and have not been properly trained on how to resolve the issue (Cohen, 2008).

Others would say that schools do have the responsibility to prevent bullying when the schools helping to prevent bullying empowers students to face up to their bullies. However, this is not the case.Students would not be empowered to stand up to their bullies if schools took responsibility for the students. Instead of standing up to the bullies themselves, the students would probably try to make the school take care of it. This goes to show that having the school take care of bullying for the students, would not help the students learn how to take care of things on their own. For example, if the students figured out that the school would take care of something for them, they would not want to do things themselves. Most students would probably get lazy. Therefore, schools should not be bound by law to take care of bullying because students would become lazy.

First,Do you feel that if a kid is miscalculate with that kid and don’t get punished they need to change that because you need to get punish ,also if that parent know that their child be bullying people at school and don’t do nothing about it then you need to change that.

Bullying happens at all age levels and can happen anywhere. For educators the least we can do is make school a safe bully free zone for the students.

Consequently, some students may have bad environments in which they are raised and would cause bullying but that is not as likely now and days compared to before we had IDEA. The world and our schools are so diverse now that children have adapted to accepting each other and that’s the way it should be. It is also healthier for all students to grow up in a social and diverse environment, children who have been in solitude may have a harder time later on in life and more than likely will not be able to adequately communicate with other people. Children are more accepting than most people in this world they do not see differences in color or disabilities.

Did you know that parents of bullies go to jail in California? Should or should not parents be held accountable for their children being bullies? Parents should not be held accountable because not all parents can watch their children all the time. Also some kids don't pick up bullying from their parents. They could pick it up from anybody!

Therefore , they won't be able to participate in school events. ‘’ By age 14 less than thirty percent of boys and forty percent of girls will tell there peers about bullying.” this is an example that schools don't do much to solve it. Also, because maybe the students are scared to. “90 percent of students report being bullied in eighth grade.”

School bullying is a big ethical problem within our schools and our communities. Some adults see bullying as just part of growing up and being a kid but it is a serious problem that can lead to children obtaining a loss of self confidence. Victims may receive a damaging self image and they may even want to end their own lives. There are many consequences to school bullying kids can obtain mental health problems and can experience anxiety or depression. Children may not be able to sleep or eat and they may lose interest in activities that they used to want to do.

The second perspective to be discussed is with the parents, who not only help educate their children about bullying but is also left alone after a more serious consequence of bullying occurs; which are self harm and suicide. The parents who just lost their child from bullying would urge other parents, and help give awareness about this growing problems. But what about the perpetrator’s parents? Would they have to compensate the parents of the diseased child? Is this even a human thing to do? In my opinion, no life is worth the money. We solely need to acknowledge that these children are being victimized and that bullying is also an act of violence. Bullying has a negative impact on everyone including the bully and the school. For instance, if there’s bullying on a campus and the school does not take action then it reflects back on the school and makes them look bad. “Schools are increasingly sued for failing to provide a safe learning environment and are being held liable for the harassment, violence and suicides caused by bullying,” (Bullying and Statistic information). As for the victim, it affects them mentally and physically, it causes them to change their habits and their personality. One important cause for the state or federal government to put laws in school to prevent bullying is make children safer in school. Bullying and cyber-bullying have increased tremendously in past six years. With the increased popularity of Facebook, bullies are finding a new way of tormenting victims. Suicide is the third leading cause of death in teens, with bullying being one of the leading causes.
