State how security arrangements are implemented in relation to the workplace, the general public, site personnel and resources.

There is such a range of people walking the grounds (including visitors, visitors’ guests, college students, training staff, supervising staff, and contract workers) that ensuring proper security is important.

Security Supervisor is a trained senior security personnel, SIA licensed, who is saddled with the responsibility of overseeing the affairs and smooth running of shifts of security staff during his tour of duty. And as such, he is implied by law to make and plan for unexpected work related issues, such as absenteeism, emergencies or back up call for assistance during chaotic situation. Part 1 Why is it important for a security professional to know specifics about the particular target environment to which they are assigned? In any particular job or assignment, particularly those surrounding security or work that might cause personal harm, knowing the situation will both increase the expectations of events that could occur and provide the security specialist with a chance to become more of an expert on the area and subject. Knowing a layout of a building, for instance, would allow one to know points of entry and exit, light switches, cameras, stairwells, hiding places, etc. This would also allow one to anticipate events and be more prepared for eventualities.

Security guards are essential in almost every business; but in government facilities they provide a crucial service. Their presence not only deters crime coming from outside a facility, it also prevents criminal activity from happening within establishments. They are the first responders to incidents that require law enforcement assistance within a facility. Whether a situation is simple or dangerous, they respond and are responsible for the safety of the people and property that they are protecting. Security guards should be highly rewarded according to the services they provide as private defenders of the public.
