Senior Year Research Paper

Your senior year was a wild, crazy mess. You started off the year not wanting to go to school to see Karson because you couldn’t handle it. You even left school some days when he would show up. You let your dumb self try again with Karson and it failed. You got hurt, and even cried.... A lot. You meet the love of your life, Kyle, and still talk to him even though you guys aren’t together right now. You both hope to reconnect after you finish your second year of college. Senior year of high school is finally here. I am quite nervous about this year and especially what follows throughout the year. Most seniors in high school are excited for the year and have a plan and just know what they are going to do when they graduate. But honestly, I'm not sure what I want to do yet. I'm just worried about today, and my health, and lifestyle and just trying to make my senior year a great year.

My first day of senior year had been just like every other year, except my schedule was very basic. The goals I had in mind were mainly outside of my time in school. I had been taking college courses online to better prepare myself for college and to eliminate costs in classes, so I had to make sure I passed all of them. Another goal had been to save money from my job to accomplish personal goals after I exit high school.

As I get ready to face my senior year, no body can predict what is going to happen like the weather. Weather is a great example to represent the coming senior year, sometimes it is good and sometimes it is bad. There is nothing much I can do about it. Even though there is a forecast, but still, there is going to be something unexpected.

Time flies. I will soon finish high school and move to college. The first semester of senior year is the most important period during my life, but I still have a Dragon I need to beat. The Dragon is called Procrastination. He has troubled me for my whole life, and I have never killed him before. During my senior year, I have to try to combat him, beat him, and destroy him.

My senior year is coming to an end, high school is pretty much over. With the finish line quickly approaching, I reflect on all the things I’ve done in these past four years and, more importantly, all the things I did not do in the past four years that I probably should have. In retrospect, I never did feel like high school was going to be where the best time of my life would be remembered, but now that it’s pretty much over I think maybe I should have treated it like it was. I would love to be able to say there is nothing I didn’t do that I wanted to and that I didn’t have any regrets, but there is a fair share of both. When I think too much about the end, I get sentimental about the experiences, friends, laughs, awkward moments, and more.

I am excited to finally start my senior year. From what my parents, friends and family have told me, senior year is supposed to be a great year. However, I believe it will be like any other year; it will not be the year I remember the most out of high school. Most of my family has been out of highschool for a significant amount of years, therefore, they do not realize how much the pressure on students has increased since then. Students now are expected to take the SATS and the ACTS in order to get into a good college. In the society we live in now, if one was to go to a community college he is thought less of because he did not go to a college that is known. However, I think community college is a great option for everyone. It is ridiculous

As I am entering my senior year everyone has told me to make sure and slow down because it will be over before I know it. This year I want to learn how to build a strong support group for my emotional well being and grow closer with new people. I am striving to try and make the most of my senior year, so God will prepare me for the upcoming years.

That makes it hard to breathe. That summer, the instructors and the upperclassmen put the cadets through physical tests that test their problem solving and leadership skills. His first ride in a military jet was during his freshman year. He flew in a Lockheed T-33 (109-115). The summer before his sophomore year, he went through survival training. It was called SERE training, which stood for “survival, evasion, resistance, and escape.” It was designed to teach them skills if they were captured, how to not be captured, and just basic survival skills. By sophomore year, Sully realized how all of the skills he had learned helped him mature. His sophomore year, Sully got an outstanding amount of flying experience and instruction. He signed up to

College is a land of endless possibilities and opportunities. Freshman year is a major transition period for everyone. No parents constantly telling me what to do, or asking where you're going are the perks of college freedom. However that freedom can be abused or utilized to my best advantage. Along with a rigorous course schedule and joining several campus activities became challenging due to the lack of time management skills. Concluding my first semester of freshman year was a like rollercoaster ride that I enjoyed. However once final grades were given that rollercoaster ride I ended up with a C+ in Biology.

“If at first you don’t succeed, try try again,” these are the words by William Edward Hickson that were constantly played in my head over and over again, from freshman year to junior year, and soon senior year. It is relevant to me because junior year has been a tough year and has challenged me in so many ways, such as with AP tests, projects, and presentations, but I never give up on them and even if I ever had to guess on tests I would try to choose an answer that would make sense. I have had many failures and disappointments over the years I have had here, and sometimes it genuinely brings me down to the point where I start to give up on everything and then I start to doubt myself, but luckily my teachers and family have been there

Freshman year to senior year, to me, are two completely different things, though in many ways they are also very alike. They are both endings as well as beginnings of new eras in your life! Freshman year is an ending to your elementary while still being the start of your high school. Your senior year is an ending to high school, while on the other hand, a start to your college career. Both are very important times in life.

There are over two hundred and fifty higher education institutions in the state of Texas. This number will most likely seem like a lot to the average high school senior trying to figure out which college is best for him/her. For me it was hard before my junior year, I went from wanting a Longhorn to Roadrunner, a Bear, an Aggie and a Leo before eventually deciding to become an Islander. As you can see I have changed my mind a lot and this was all between my seventh grade year to the end of the summer going into my junior year. Not to mention the stent when I wanted to go to Yale because I was obsessed with Gilmore Girls one summer in elementary and also because I loved Rory’s dorm room. Freshman year has got to be the craziest year out of all of highschool. Seeing some of your closest friends go to a different school then you. Going into a new bigger school unaware of your surroundings. And Making and hanging out with new friends and teammates. The first day in high school in my freshman year i had no idea where i was going or where my classes were. The building looked big outside and even bigger on the inside. Everyone looked older and taller, even the girls. We actually got to text and have our phones out in the hallways. I heard tons of myths about high school. Freshman year is not as undemanding and trouble- free as it seems. You must do what you need to in order to survive the freshman year. If you start to fool around in your first year of high school, it might turn into a bad habit for the years to come. Therefore, certain guidelines can help throughout this phase. In order to survive the year, you must learn some basic rules and try to stick with them for the next four years of high school. You have to be prepared to do some work, but also have fun while you’re at it. What you learn during these four memorable years will most likely stay with you for the rest of your life.
