Should 8th graders remain a part of the middle school or should they be moved to the high school? I as an 8th grader does not think that we should be moved to the high school. One reason, the high school would get over crowded. Another reason, what would the school do with the second floor of the school. Furthermore, it could have negative consequences on student morale and development.
8th graders should remain in the middle school because the high school would get crowded. If the 8th graders leave the middle school, the middle school would only have 3 grades. Yet the high school would have 5 grades, the high school does not need an extra 200 students or so. They're wouldn't be enough room for everyone. I do not think the high schoolers
In the article “Dumbing Down Our Schools,” Ruth Mitchell states the argument of most classroom work found in the large town and city high schools are below the academic grade level, except the Advanced Placement and Honors classes. She brings up that high school students are doing the same activities that an elementary student would do. Mitchell has brought up convincing points that supports her argument, such as statics. Her persuasive reasonings does seem logical because it relates to people that have witness the urban high school education, along with her confident analyzation approaches.
Equality within the schools is best for all students that are enrolled, open campus and privileges should be earned by the seniors for their hard work over the last three years. Granted, juniors have worked hard over the two years they have gone to the high school, privileges should be for seniors that have earned the rights.
Should elementary students switch classes? Most teachers cam teachers can teach all subjects but they are better at one subject then all the rest. This is why students should switch classes then the teacher that is the best at that subject could teach that and that only.
It is a good idea to provide a separate school experience for middle school from the high school, because putting both middle school and high school in the same building will have a negative experience for middle school students in many aspects. Noticeably, the high school students and middle school students sharing the hallway is a bit destructive in some aspects of behaviors.
believe that it is a good idea to provide a separate school experience for students in grades 6-8. Currently, I work in a 6-12 school and I believe that the younger students do need their separation from high schoolers. One of the benefits of breaking up these students is that students who are in middle school are not influenced by older students, being that this is such a transitional period for them. Another benefit is that the scheduling for both age groups should be different and by having these groups separated, different schedules to meet the age levels can be present. I believe that middle schoolers are in the stages of puberty, growing up, learning new things about the world, and overall just finding themselves and would benefit from
I believe that middle school students should have lockers. It could be difficult for them to carry all of their stuff. Their bookbags could be too heavy, which might hurt their backs. Lockers could make keeping up with school work much easier. It makes it easier for students to be organized too. Students would also be prepared for class more.
Attending high schools should be more than just exposing students to a structured curriculum. High school should also be a place where students are allowed to think outside of the box. Schools should inspire creativity, sparks curiosity, and fuels ambition.
What if school was year-round? Schools should adopt a year round schedule for a few reasons. One is that students won't have to relearn everything after a summer break and another is that students can take more family trips.
Do you ever sit in your seat ever wondering how you don’t have recess in Middle School? I do! I Strongly believe that there should be recess in Middle School because problems can be solved, kids are more focused, and it will reduce stress. Research confirms that recess helps kids solve their own problems and become more social. Additionally kids will be more focus more in school after they have a recess break.
Do you remember having recess back in elementary school? Do you ever want recess when you are in middle school? I do. I think students in middle school should have short breaks in between class throughout the day. Students would not sleep in class. Students would get more exercise than just sitting in class. Students would not talk in class.
Currently in the United States, the education system has middle schools from grades six through eight, elementary schools from kindergarten through fifth grade and high school 9th through 12th grade. Although there was a change in the school system, school was not always this way. Ninth grade students were put into middle schools instead of high school and sixth grade students were put into elementary schools. Unfortunately some of these students do not do well in a middle school and have lower grades, are not mature enough, and have a hard time dealing with peer pressure. Six
On one hand year 7s can have greater opportunities at high schools and there are specialist teachers, therefore leading to better education. Moving year 7s into high school would give them improved science equipment and better technology and supplies than primary school. It would also benefit people who move from high schools that already have year 7s.
We also believe we should build a middle school for Floyd County, for three main reasons. First of all it would be less crowded, and more drama wouldn’t happen. We’re not saying all of the drama would be solved but it would help with a majority of it. Tying in with the last paragraph more teachers would have more room to interact with their students. A middle school would solve several of high school problems. Finally, students will not have to adjust from elementary schools to a high school.
Transitioning from the middle school to the high school is a big change for a student. When we moved to the high school, we thought freshman Friday's would be all year and that it would be very difficult to find our classes. However, freshman Friday's only last the first couple weeks, and there are lots of link leaders to help the freshies find their classes. School is a big deal here in the high school. 8th graders should follow our tips if they want to be successful in the high school.
Why do we need year-round schools. I agree with year-round school 100%.There are 3,181 year-round schools in the US. There are also 46 states with year-round education. They all have very smart kids, and year-round schools are more exiting.Year-round schools will be in all US schools within the next 15 years. All year-round students are in school for 45 days and then they have 15 days off. I think its a good idea to have all year-round school, more education and more learning for year-round students.
