Technology has been around for not so long and in that short amount of time we have been able to do amazing things and advance the human race into the future. Such as getting us to the moon ,computers like never before seen, and now we have our own personal computer in the palm of our hands. Being able to be in a car and not have to drive it or even park it. Imagine living in a world that everything was being done by robots? Would it be better or worse ? socially & economically? if we automate everything we would be taking away all the things that make us human.

We all know technology is a good thing, right? Or is it? We can all come up with reasons why technology is helpful or appropriate like we can for a particular medicine. And while some drugs are really great to cure or prevent a disease, sometimes the side effects outweigh any possible benefit. The same is true with technology. Some common negative side effects of technology are kids playing on their phones instead of going outside to play or young people not interacting face-to-face as much as they used to. Parenting is an area that has suffered since the rise in technology, specifically with phone use.

As the increase of technology and laws/rules in the Industrial Age, we can see it affecting people’s lives and society in a horrible way rather than a good way. Some major topics that will be discussed affecting people’s lives would be the increase of: technology, workforce, and prostitutes, and finally Health issues. Let’s start where it all began in the 17th and 18th century and somewhat in the 19th century.

Technology doesn’t get in the way of learning in fact it has increased the amount that kids want to learn. Technology does not get in the way of learning it helps with kids being able to look up lessons, and video tutorials if they don’t get the lesson when it was taught in class. It gives kids easier ways to relearn topics instead of having to read a book or even sit through the whole lessons again. Having technology is also better because you don’t have to waste time going to a public library for research projects.

The technological boom of the Information Age during the 1980’s and 1990’s brought about the creation of the Internet. The Internet has produced an era where society is solely autonomous and does not have to rely on the government for all of its needs. In return, various levels and means of communication have progressed the way humans interact with one another. As technology progresses, our society “molds” along with it, bringing about economic development and individualistic social gains. Distinctive gains and advancements of the internet have led to the discovery of personal communication, entrepreneurship communication, and social-political communication. The unfolding of communication on the internet has envisioned a future within our society that will be free of barriers and walls — this future will steer more towards the support and growth of technology and innovation.

We are living in interesting times where the rate and scale at which change is happening is immense. The impacts of the changes happening today have far reaching impacts than the ones the world has had hitherto. Technology has been the sole enabler in taking the changes to the lower rungs of the society the world over. The underprivileged today have a better scope of having a decent livelihood. The benefits of various researches in different fields done worldwide are not privy only to the affluent anymore. Globalization along with technology have truly given an access of such benefits to the down trodden.

In today's society, almost everything within our daily lives can be tracked on social media. Whether it's taking a big trip, or maybe a new family member that was born, more than likely it's on social media. People in today’s world are dependant on technology and social media. Social media sites were made to create communities that brings people with common interests together instead of being a place to rant about your personal issues. While the original idea of this was good, several negative outcomes have resulted. Social media sites such as Facebook have created an environment that makes everyone act how others want them to act. Social media sites are not beneficial to the community they serve, and overall are a nuisance within today's world and today's community. All three of these essays talk about seeing and the new influences of technology influence our sight more than they ever had.

For some time now, people have known that technology is going to take part in our daily lives, but they didn’t believe that technology will take over our job as they thought it was some fiction stories somebody thought of. Now when a person is concerned about having their jobs to be taken away, his or job might be replaced by robotics. Robotics is a machine especially one programmable by a computer capable of carrying out a complex series of actions automatically. Yet with all the robots may benefit the job market, there are many consequence to consider as well. This leads to my following research question: Does the rise of technology economically benefit workers in the long run, or is it more likely to do more harm?

By increasing the use of technology, it is limiting us from face to face interaction. Being on your iPhones 24/7 is creating a huge problem for the upcoming generation. Most people can sit behind a computer for hours typing how they’re feeling, whether on social media, email or text messaging, but they lack eye contact because they are so used to staring at a screen and hitting the send button that when they’re standing right in front of another human being they lack the basic skills for human interaction.

The soft murmur of a machine starting up in the background. The hum of the drive switching gears and pushing information through its wires. It’s become normal to be involved in technology, as it’s major part of our everyday lives. For many people, the first and the last thing they see in a day is their electronic devices. While numerous people enjoy the convenience of having intelligent machinery to interact with, not everyone can relate to their delight. However, no matter a person’s opinion on technology, one thing that’s certain is technology is taking over everyday life.

Technology has made communicating difficult and has slowly ruined people’s friendships. Henry David Thoreau says, “Society is commonly too cheap. We meet at very intervals, not having had time to acquire any new values to each other.” People want to be talk to other individual as fast as possible, and when people have that mentality it becomes difficult for the person to relate. Technology has made people vulnerable about there self and continuously judging the way we behave. Business contributes of how the individual view themselves and it puts them in lower self-esteem. Although it does have its advantages such as given people connection with those far from them, technology has ruined the connection and intimacy that people once experienced in a pre-digital age.

Nowadays, Technology has broad speculations in our lives. Technology has advantages and disadvantages. There are much diverse age groups that use technology daily. It has come to a fact that we rely on technology to get a breather from our hectic daily life. The very definite functional part of technology has been seen visible in the lowest part of the age group. Young children and teenagers in first world countries have been growing more attached to technology the more advanced it gets. The controversy that includes the pros and con effect of technology on children’s life has been in speculation till this day and maybe continues into the future.

Technology has become a huge topic in today’s century, it has brought both negative and positive questions in mind. The biggest question that people ask themselves is whether all those new gadgets they possess benefit or damage their families at the end. In other words, technology has become a part in the lives of families in the past century or so, it has made it easier to find information by using their fingertips and keep in close contact with relatives living in other countries. New technology was created for entertainment and usefulness in people’s lives, such as televisions, tablets, phones, and so on. This essay will discuss both the positive and negative impacts technology has created, as well as to how helpful it is within families.

Almost all students have cell phones and they use them every day whether it’s through texting away or listening to music. This behavior is especially present in the classroom, at every opportunity the teacher gives them. The teacher isn’t doing this on purpose however, this behavior usually arises when the teacher is too busy to notice. Whether it be helping out another student or writing on the board. Eventually, the teacher will notice he or she has lost touch with her students and warns that they will confiscate phones. The students reluctantly tuck the phones under a book until the teacher turns their attention back to the lesson at hand. And in today’s world, when homes are filled with electronic devices, school’s question how much technology belongs in the classroom.

Everything has their difficulties, but for technology, it has made communicating default and made us degrade our friendships. Henry David Thoreau says, “Society is commonly too cheap. We meet at very intervals, not having had time to acquire any new values for each other.” Technology made our physical communication with people weak but also connected. This makes our values of friendship demeaning and overlooks the ethic of friendship. Technology plays a significant role in our daily lives and how it affects our friendship, the way we communicate with one to another, the way we connect and the way we see ourselves.
