Men, women, and children went to the beach to drop their worries and forget the pressures of everyday living. The beautiful scenery caused immense relaxation. The overall atmosphere of beach was phenomenal. The sky was clearer than crystal, and the clouds above moved across the sky like driftwood in the night. There was a teenage boy sitting in a lime green beach chair. The boy sat there allowing the fiery sun to kiss his skin. Others hid underneath their colorful umbrella from the sun's rays. The crashing waves swept the overzealous toddlers off of their feet. Everyone could hear their joyous laughter that filled the air as they waited for the next salty wave to come. The little kids were architects as the built their mighty forts and fortresses
A few miles northeast of Bath ME, down the stretch of route 1, to the right, you come to a dusty road covered in rocks and leaves. The rocky dirt road comes to a stop were a small, rough path takes you through the peach colored brush to a hot sandy beach. The beach glimmers in the sunshine turning the grainy sand into a golden blanket. The beach winds around westward clifts for four miles. Towards the east, segmented by a river emptying its contents, the beach gradually plunges down into the chilly Atlantic ocean, where rushing water from the river clashes with the salt water. The waves roll and crash on in like the sound of African drums, on rhythm that never stops. On the horizon where the water meets with the sky an island sits with a lighthouse perched on the land looking out for dangers that lurk. The sky continues on to the animated clouds, carrying one's eyes up to the heavens.
It was surely a proud day when your child went off to college. One can only imagine the concern and disappointment you felt when you discovered they were dealing with an addiction. Many people will immediately point to and place the blame on the party environment typically found on college campuses. The reality is your child may be dealing with some deep-rooted personal problems that often leads to excessive drinking and using. At this point, you might be coming to the realization that alcohol rehab in Florida is something you need to start considering.

Every year, visitors flock to Muir Woods National Monument to visit the coastal redwoods. The forest is indeed awe-inspiring, but it isn’t the only site worth visiting. The lesser known – and therefore less crowded – Muir Beach, which is located just three miles west of Muir Woods, is equally worthy of a stopover, either in conjunction with a visit to Muir Woods or as a destination all of its own.
One of my favorite movies would be Teen Beach 2 by Robert Horn. I like this movie because it shows that no matter who you are you can do anything. Also, I like that there is friends that people can look up to who won’t bring them down. Then, I like the little things of romance in the movie. What makes this movie better than other movies is in my opinion the music and the dances that make the movie interesting and you can sing along with the people singing. All good movies to me have music in them with dancing and they have a little bit of romance in them to. That’s what makes them a good quality movie to me.
At about 8 in the morning, I woke up smelling the most delicious smell of my breakfast for my birthday. As I get out of bed, the smell of food is making me glide through the air and taking me to the kitchen. But, before I can even go into the kitchen I can smell all of the food whispering in my ears and moving up my nose. The smell of brown sugar and banana cascade through the house like an intense air freshener as the banana bread is basking in the oven. This smell only intensifies as the aroma of buttery, sugary pancakes hits me like a ton of brick and refuses to leave. However, the savory smell of potatoes and eggs kick the sweet smell out with a punch as my mom begins to produces the savory foods like the speed of light.
October is festival time in our area of the South Brunswick Islands. It is almost like Christmas - the smell of food is in the air, the sound of music and vendors selling their wares. Each booth is another world. One has spices; one has handmade jewelry, carvings, paintings, pottery, information on local real estate and so much more! Everywhere another world; around every corner another artisan. It is a magical time…….so come to the beach and enjoy!
The aim of this investigation was to give students an understanding of how the changes in and effects of the abiotic and biotic factors along a transect line from high tide to low tide in the mangroves, at Nudgee Beach. In this investigation, the abiotic and biotic factors affecting mangroves and how mangroves species at Nudge Beach deal with theses factors etc., as well as critical issues affecting mangroves ecology, will be discussed. Results and observations of the mangroves ecosystem at Nudge Beach were recorded over a time period of 1 day. Different equipment’s and chemicals were used to identify the levels of abiotic factors and biotic factors such as soil texture and colour, pH, air and soil temperature, relative humidity, speed of wind,
The fresh salt smell from the ocean diffuses through the pure thick tropic air. When walking away from the beach you enter an almost mirage sort of eden, Natural Rainforest covers from where the sand meets the soil to far out into the country with every shade of green glowing. The emerald green trees sway calmly from side to side, Soon the sand turns into low laying grass, That tickles between your toes.Huddling into the exuberant verdure the beautiful waterfalls inland are like a sight of the bliss, watching them for hours would not be enough to satiate your desire to feast your eyes on that beauty of incredible merging of colours into a pool of cool crystal clear water. Nature finds a perfect way to collaborate with the buildings that look frozen in time with white and cyan coloured houses on each street, some with a slick of fresh paint and others worn down by time with chips of pain peeling of around the edges, each house with a white picket fence like out of an old film. Night brings a whole new sensory experience, as the tide comes in people leave the beaches and head to the main
Do the beaches need to be saved? Why should beach eroition be such a big deal? As beach erosion continues the beaches get narrower and narrower witch cause them to increase rising the tide above usual and causing flooding issues. This is also the cause of some houses falling near the ocean.
On Sunday we have decided to do both Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and the bonfire at Seabright beach. For those who wants to come earlier and hangout in Beach Boardwalk would have to find a ride from one of the drivers. If you cannot make it to Beach Boardwalk, but can come to the bonfire would have to find a ride from a person who,s coming late also.
Beach (2013) touches on the fascination of how complex our brain works, the control we carry with our identity and the ways our brains misperceive details around us that can be impossible to avoid but possible to change (Para 31). Surprisingly, our ways of thinking is connected to our culture (Para 20). Subconsciously, the closet people in our lives- parents, friends, and teachers- influence our culture (Para 20). Culture comprises our personal beliefs and customs that we practice in our daily lives (Para 20). These distinct values and traditions that we strongly hold give us a sense a purpose and desire to continue living our everyday lives (Para 20). We are allowed to accept or deny any subcultures that roll our way. Each individual views
Dover Beach intrigued me as soon as I read the title. I have a great love of beaches, so I feel a connection with the speaker as he or she stands on the cliffs of Dover, looking out at the sea and reflecting on life. Arnold successfully captures the mystical beauty of the ocean as it echoes human existence and the struggles of life. The moods of the speaker throughout the poem change dramatically as do the moods of the sea. The irregular, unordered rhyme is representative of these inharmonious moods and struggles. In this case, the speaker seems to be struggling with the relationship with his or her partner.
This photograph was taken on Waikiki Beach in Honolulu, Hawaii in 2015. It was taken during sunset and as the tide had gone out, revealing a wider coastline. The world-famous beach is manmade and since 1951, over 80,000 cubic meters of sand has been imported to replace sand lost through erosion from heavy rainfall, sea swells, wind and tropical storms.
There are some travelers who see a “paradise” as their final destination; however, it may end up to be exactly opposite of what a paradise should be. This can be seen in Alex Garland’s The Beach. The novel is about several backpackers, Richard, Francoise, and Etienne, who come together and travel to an island community, their paradise, within Thailand. Ultimately, the story portrays the idea of a utopia-like society taking a turn for the worst and becoming a dystopia, something that the backpackers would not have expected. Throughout the story, the theme of a utopia turning into a dystopia could be seen through symbolism such as the “cancer” of traveling and the destruction that it brings.
