The Free Enterprise system is a type of economy where products, prices, and services are determined by the market instead of being determined the government. Free enterprise refers to an economy where a businesses is free from the government’s control. There are five main principles of the Free Enterprise System. These five parts are, the freedom to choose our businesses, the right to private property, the profit motive, competition, and consumer sovereignty. The freedom to choose our business is whether or not you should go into computer services or any other kind of business. Is basically the choice you make on what business to go in. You will decide what fees to charge on your goods, and what hours you work. Certain laws prohibit you from cheating or hurting your customers or other people in your area. Other than this you can run your business anyway you see fit. For example my aunt runs a little store in our community, she runs her own business. If your business is profitable, it is more likely that other individuals will enter the same business as you hoping to be as successful as you are. The other businesses in the same field will be competing with you for the same customers. Other sellers may try to offer more and better services to win a share of the computer business. They may also try to lower prices of their services. Because of the strong pressure of competition, business firms must steadily try to provide the best services, create the best products and sell their products at the lowest prices. An example of this is the 2 different service stations in our community. We have Cefco and Chevron service stations. One might sell cheaper products ,such as gas, to compete with the other service station so they can have more
