Compare and Contrast essay The House Taken Over, a Short story by Julio Cortázar, and The Fall of The House of Usher, a short story by Edgar Allen Poe, Both have a very similar goth type themed plot. Julio Cortázar published his story in 1946, while Edgar Allen Poe’s story was published in 1839. Although both stories have many similarities, they also have many differences.
