The American Dream is the pinnacle of happiness that can be achieved living in America. Prosperity, a safe future, and freedom are the ideal characteristics of the American Dream in my opinion. Everyone should have an equal opportunity to achieve their own version and rise above any circumstance, whether it be big or small. Everyone deserves a happy and fulfilled life. Anyone can realize the American Dream by working hard, being optimistic, and focusing on goals that are set to get ahead and achieve success. It requires a great deal of perseverance and effort, but with an optimistic outlook and a sense of purpose, anything is possible. Thomas Paine is a prime example of fulfilling the American Dream of freedom. His writings cause a stir in the colonies during the British reign and he urges the colonists to rebel against King George’s supremacy. He believes it is unlawful and unethical for the king of one nation to govern the colonies when the inhabitants are all from various other regions and cultures. To gain freedom and independence, earn a name for themselves, and be relieved of heavy taxation without representation, the colonists need motivation to cause an uprising and Thomas Paine was the perfect candidate. In Paine’s work “Common Sense”, he states: But, admitting that we were all of English descent, what does it amount to? Nothing. Britain, being now an open enemy, extinguishes every other name and title; and to say that reconciliation is our duty, is truly
All over the world, people hear about and strive to live the “American Dream.” In 1791 Thomas Paine, an intellectual revolutionary, believed that America was a diverse country that was accommodating for its people. In his book “Rights of Man” he says that in America “the poor are not oppressed, the rich are not privileged… and their taxes are few.” None of these ideals are completely true in America today.
First, let's define "American Dream". "American Dream" is what you would consider a "perfect life." It can be full of happiness, money, love, food, cars, whatever you desire, everyone has a different opinion. One person’s American Dream may be totally different from someone else’s, that is what makes us all individuals. My American Dream would include a good job and lots of money, spare time for my family and I, and most importantly, healthiness.
The American Dream can be generally defined as living a prosperous and fulfilled life. As Americans when we consider the American Dream we think of being
Everyone has heard of the american dream whether they think it’s real or not. The american dream is what people believed to be the ability to have a thriving life in america. The American dream is the general belief that American Citizens all have an equal opportunity to succeed socially and economically, regardless of any predating circumstances. This idea has been accepted as possible by the majority of citizens in
The American Dream is, “the ideal that every US citizen should have an equal opportunity to achieve success and prosperity through hard work, determination, and initiative.” With it having many different meanings, people can’t seem to find the “right” one. It is also said that the American Dream means Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit
I The American Dream in my opinion means: safty, economical growth, and family reunion. First of all the American Dream is having comfortable debt free life has somehow deteriorated over the yeaars. Is safty here because no war,you go out in the park nobody is taking, watching. Everyere here is the police around, and when you have any problem I can tell them. For my son is more beter here because I can take care for him every day.In my country children playing outside the house, and nobady watching them.I go everyere with him.
The American dream is the goals we set for ourselves that we can make a reality. Not everyone can understand each American dream because they are different for each person. One person's success or failure is up to them. America still provides access to the American dream by giving everyone equal opportunities, for both, the successful and the tired, poor and huddled masses. America offers the American dream for everyone.
The American Dream is a national ethos of the United States, a set of ideals in which freedom includes the opportunity for prosperity and success, and an upward social mobility for the family and children, achieved through hard work in a society with few obstructions. This dream is based on foundational ideas that there is social equality within the American society, while all people are afforded the same unalienable rights and freedoms. According to Isenberg (2017):
The American dream is what someone believes will make the live a “happy life”, what makes life worth living. The idea of it is to succeed at whatever it is you want to have achieved when your life is complete. The American dream can only be attained by hard working. In the book “Of Mice and Men” there are two men, Lennie and George.
What is The American Dream? The American Dream is a life with riches and equality. With countless opportunities for each and every person. No matter their race, color or background of each individual. Giving them a new life, a life each and everyone deserves.
The American Dream can be described as a belief in freedom that allows all citizens and residents of the United States of America to achieve their goals in life through hard work. There are many different perspectives on the American Dream, it is different for everyone and each person interprets it in a different way. For some, it is the opportunity to achieve more prosperity than they could in their countries of origin. For others, it is the opportunity for their children to grow up with an education and career opportunities. The idea of the American Dream still has truth in today's time, even if it is wealth, love, or fame. The thing that never changes about the American Dream is that everyone deserves
“We must stop talking about the american dream and start listening to the dreams of Americans,” a quote by Max Beerbohm. The american dream is the ideal that every US citizen should have an equal opportunity to achieve success and prosperity through hard work, determination, and initiative. The American Dream was not achievable for everyone in the U.S. because not everyone has the same promise, opportunities, and triumph.
The American Dream is a lasting ideal that embodies an attitude of hope that is achieved from nothing more than hard work and dedication. The American dream
The American Dream today is different to every individual but as a nation it is being economically safe and having something to work for. It is having the ability to do the same thing everyone else is doing. It is being able to believe in anything you want, even if its something as imaginative as unicorns. The overall definition of “The American Dream” is to be successful in work and in society. This definition is very generic so no matter how many years pass it will pretty much be the same.
