The American Holistic Nurses Association is a professional nurse’s organization that centers on a holistic vision and utilizing this approach when formulating nursing interventions. These guiding principles are supported based on one’s own knowledge, standards of practice, and philosophy of living with a foundation directed towards caring relationships and interconnectedness ("American Holistic Nurses Association - the voice of holistic nursing," 2015). This specific organization offers information through community resources, informative publications, continuing education, and local networking opportunities with a focus on self-care and wellness ("American Holistic Nurses Association - the voice of holistic nursing," 2015). B: Nursing Code Examples The nursing code of ethics applies to any environment where patient care is given. As you go through each provision you will find all of these provisions apply in some form during your career. Depending upon the environment in which you serve, one provision can speak louder in terms of application as it relates to your work environment. If clarification is being sought when making difficult decisions, the code of ethics paves a clear pathway for an explanation of what we as nurses should be doing.
