When I walked into class and saw this daunting project sitting on my desk, I was in shock. No teacher has ever asked me to do an assignment requiring the level of work that this portfolio required. While no one component seemed too difficult, all of them together seemed impossible. However, in reflection I see that this portfolio was only as difficult as I sought to make it; if I approached each section with an open mind, a plan, and a schedule, it was rather easy to complete this assignment.
While completing this portfolio, I had to learn how to manage my time. Now, as I am typing this over a week before this project is due, I am glad I did not procrastinate as many of my peers did. Most of them are still scrambling to finish with the deadline fast approaching. I also learned more than I imagined I would about our government, especially in the projects concerning local government. I knew that local government was important, but did not realize the magnitude of its impact on daily life. The actions of local representatives affect the quality of roads, the tax we pay on meals, the cost of water and electricity, the number of teachers in school, the amount of supplies those teachers have, and what recreational and community opportunities are available to our community. Attending the government meetings and interviewing local leaders provided the most insight into governmental workings. Talking with Mayor Coleburn taught me that the mayor does not “run the town” like
All during my middle to late teenage years I was involved in the politics of our city. My hometown was small, so there were many opportunities for youth to participate in events. From attending city council meetings that were held twice a month, I learned how I could actually become involved in the legislation process. By getting involved, I, along with some other members of the town, were able to pass a local ordinance, and I was also involved in the process of passing Utah Senate Bill 60, which became a law in March of 2015. Getting involved in the law making process taught me not just about the actual process of passing a law, but also about how normal citizens can and should take part of the legislative process. It also contributed to my desire to continue working with government and the
I can remember sitting in class, feeling eyes burning through me, dodging inquisitive glances from all sides, and anxiously awaiting the bell to ring for lunchtime. As most people know, lunch is the most dreaded part of the first day at a new school. First day of school memories are still fairly vivid for me; my father was in the JAG corps in the Army and my family moved with biannual regularity. In fact, I even attended three different high schools. While this may seem highly undesirable to some, I learned an incredible amount about myself, the world, and other people through moving that I may never have learned otherwise. What I have learned about myself and the world will without a doubt contribute to my success in life and even law
A portfolio is an organized, purposeful compilation of evidence documenting a child’s development and learning over time (McAfee, Leong, & Bodrova, 2016, p. 98). I thin k that implementing the Portfolio Plan would definitely contribute to the knowledge that I have already learned from my observation of Camden. After interviewing her mother and observing her, she seems to already be on a good path in her development and learning. I believe that some of the things that I have planned out on the Portfolio Plan would be very beneficial for her.
With the availability of numerous website builders and online portfolio tools, many of which are free of charge, creating an online portfolio is both quick and easy. However, through the course of my research for this assignment

As a significant aspect of a unit on the Vietnam War, he is having his understudies read The Things They Carried, a Vietnam-centered novel. His particular interest is in passing on to understudies the social, financial, and social impact that the war had on individuals at home. As a coming full circle task to the three-week unit, he requests that understudies make a portfolio involved various littler assignments that are to be finished amid the perusing. The portfolio is to incorporate a diary passage composed as one of the book's characters, a photo of one scene from the book, a letter home consisting of one of the characters, and five perusing logs finished at different focuses amid the perusing. Steve needs to guarantee that his understudies remain focused amid the task and that they are not permitted to hesitate and complete the work at
Make sure that you spend 1 or 2 blocks for students to choose work to be included in the portfolio. Take a picture of the pieces of work and place them according to your subject.
Your knowledge about state and local government would be a valuable contribution to the program. The students would have an opportunity to learn from your experience, and you would be a wonderful role model and mentor for the participants.
By working on this portfolio I have learned new resources that are useful to me now and in the future. For example, many reliable websites for scholarships, job offerings, and
The process of this Portfolio took me like 3 weeks to do just cause I was
The success of project portfolio management is determined by three key factors. The factors include: flexible structure and freedom of communication, low-cost environmental scanning, and time-paced transition. Projects that involve difficult channels of communication can be very difficult to develop. The projects that involve lots of “red tape” and other levels of administration can hinder them from meeting milestones and can be doomed to fail from the beginning. One of the main keys to a projects success is communication. Pinto writes, “Successful portfolios emerge from environments that foster flexibility and open communication. When project teams are allowed to improvise and experiment on existing product lines, innovative new product ideas are more likely to emerge.” (p. 95). This open communication and flexibility allows team members to voice their concerns when issues arise and allow them to come up with alternatives freely with having to get approval from project leaders or management. The next key to success is low-cost

Many people can think back to a time when they thought for sure their life was over and they could not persevere. In these situations, people need to be strong and see that something better is going to come. That can been seen in this quote: “In three words I can sum up everything I’ve learned about in life: it goes on.” This quote, created by poet Robert Frost, can be applied by anyone in their lives to help them in the future. Frost, who is a very popular poet, is known for conceiving plenty of inspirational quotes and this one is no exception. The main point that Frost is trying to get across with his statement is that life keeps moving so do not get stuck in the present because there will always be another day. This quote relates to life by telling the reader to not dwell on the past and keep moving forward whether they have had bad

A project portfolio is a group of projects that share and compete for the same resources and are carried out under the sponsorship or management of an organization (Archer & Ghasemzadeh, 1999a, 1999b). Turner and Müller (2003, p. 7) defined a portfolio as “an organization (temporary or permanent) where projects are managed together to coordinate interfaces, prioritize resources between projects, and thereby
