In William Shakespeare’s play, Romeo and Juliet, two young lovers from feuding families fall in a foolish love. Many problems arise and the “star-crossed lovers” take their own lives in place for their love for one another. The two people most responsible for this tragedy are Friar Lawrence and Capulet. Fate plays a large role in the death of Romeo and Juliet seeing as if situations played out differently the play would have a different outcome. The person who is most to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet is Friar Lawrence because of his ability to wed the two lovers without telling anyone hoping that it would solve the feud. When Romeo and Juliet are getting married, Friar Lawrence says, “In one respect I’ll thy assistant be; For this
Romeo and Juliet is a tragic story about star-crossed lovers who lost their lives due to sorrow and grief. Writers and readers all around argue about who was at fault for the death of these two young characters. Mercutio, who was the one who convinces Romeo to go to the ball in the first place, could be blamed as well. And when Mercutio was murdered by Tybalt, Romeo killed him out of anger, which led to the separation of the two lovers. There are multiple people we could pin for their deaths, even their parents because of their huge family feud. I think the three people to be blamed are the nurse, Friar Laurence, and our very own star-crossed lovers.
Blame is putting responsibility for a wrong or mistake on someone other than oneself. People would resort to blame to get out of a bad situation and say it was what they did that caused the mistake or wrong to happen. Blame is a big factor in Romeo and Juliet because, the death of Romeo and Juliet is to blame on many people who drove them further. People would usually go to factor of blaming people to escape an unpleasant or serious situation that would have serious consequences.
The ending to Romeo and Juliet is very sad. How both of them died because of a family feud. At such a young age too. Many people played a role in their deaths. I believe that both the Montagues and the Capulets are to blame for their deaths.
In the story Romeo and Juliet there are many things you can blame people on and many bad things that happen. When Tybalt dies you can easily blame Romeo because in the story he stabs him with a sword. Also you could blame Capulet for Juliet's unhappiness because he make her marry Paris over who she wants to. In Shakespeare Romeo and Juliet Friar John and Friar Lawrence are to blame for the deaths for the young lovers.
Who’s to blame for Romeo and Juliet’s death? Was it the long rivalry of Montague and Capulet? Was it the pressure of Juliet parents to marry a man she didn't love? Some people even say the Nurse is to blame for their death.Well this is my response for their “tragic” death.
Romeo should be blamed for his and Juliet’s death because he was impulsive and didn’t think before he acted. This is represented in the play in various forms. For instance, “Can I go forward when my heart is here? Turn back, dull earth, and find thy centre out.” (Rom. 2.1.1-2). This exemplifies that Romeo carelessly and impulsively leapt over the Capulet wall to go meet Juliet at night. He did not think of the dangers his actions could possess, but rather if he would be with Juliet. Another example of Romeo’s thoughtless behavior was when Romeo fought with Tybalt. “Either thou or I, or both, must go with him,” (Rom. 3.1.130). This shows that Romeo was ready to kill Tybalt or die doing it himself just to avenge
Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare is one of the “Tragedy” stories that he has written and the “Tragedy” was caused by someone in the story. The Montag and Capulet families have a feud, and they would hate the fact that each others’ son and daughter would marry each other. Sadly Romeo and Juliet marry each other without their parents consent. They could be also known as, star crossed lovers. Someone has to take the blame for these deaths and personally Friar Lawrence can take the blame for everything. For example in Act 2 Scene 6 Lines 35-38 shows how Friar Lawrence was influencing Romeo and Juliet to do what they are not suppose to do.
I blame the parent, friar Laurence, and the apothecary for the death of Romeo and Juliet. The parents wanted to choose their love. This led to them both getting something to kill themselves. Romeo got poison that would kill him immediately and Juliet got a drug that makes her seem dead. She would be asleep for 42 hours. I blame the parents because they didn’t want them to be together. Romeo and Juliet’s families were always fighting. Their relationship was automatically being declined. Romeo was a Montague while Juliet was a Capulet. Their families fought for years. They didn’t want their children to marry an enemy. In the text, it says “two unlucky children of these enemy families became lovers and commit suicide.’’ They committed suicide
In my opinion I believe that the prime suspect to blame for Romeo and Juliet's death's is the Prince. I believe this because he threatened both families that there will be death if the fighting proceeds, was not rational about his decisions, and was not understanding of the two and their romance. "Rebellious subjects, enemies to peace"..."Once more, on pain of death, all men depart.",Prince. He says that he will kill anyone who disturbs the peace in Verona again.
Romeo and Juliet’s deaths are still without blame, that is until now. With the two lovers leaving a mess in their wake before their final departure from the Earth, we still don’t know who to blame. Is it the friar the parents or the prince? The answer is Romeo and Juliet.
Maybe they wouldn’t have died if their parents had been more loving and caring or Friar Lawrence had gotten the letter to Friar John on time but maybe it was their own fault. They were the ones who stabbed and poisoned themselves, they made that choice on their own to die for one another.
Romeo and Juliet, by William Shakespeare, one of the most popular plays, Romeo and Juliet tells the story of two star-crossed lovers and the unhappy fate that befell them as a result of a long and bitter feud amongst the two households, the Capulets and the Montagues. The two star crossed lovers had their love for each other shattered when Romeo was exiled from Verona and was sentenced to death if he ever returned. Juliet was so distraught by this she wanted to end this madness between families and so she asked Friar Lawrence to fix this problem and so he invented a remedy to finish it but the remedy ended up killing the two lovers. Although it may seem that the Friar and other outside influences were to blame for the death of
Who do you think should be blamed for Romeo And Juliet’s death? One thing for sure my opinion is all the people that surround them.Juliet shouldn’t kill herself because she is still young and inexperienced what the meaning of love is really about.Romeo and Juliet also don’t know how it hurts others to see them dead.
Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare is about two children of opposing families... the Capulets and the Montagues… begin a tragic love story. Within five days they fall in love, get married, and end their lives. The love story of Romeo and Juliet was never easy, one bad thing after another seemed to always occur. The only people to blame for the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet is themselves. From the beginning to the end, it was their poor decision making that cost them their lives.
It is common knowledge that the play Romeo and Juliet ends in both characters deaths. While it may be initially thought that Romeo and Juliet caused their own deaths, the blame lies in adult figures of the play. If it weren’t for the actions of Friar Lawrence and Lord Capulet, neither Romeo nor Juliet would have died in the play, as Friar Lawrence executed the plan that led to Romeo and Juliet’s death, and Lord Capulet caused the plan to be necessary in the first place.
