The play “Romeo and Juliet” written by Shakespeare was a tragedy. A tragedy is an event that causes great suffering. ”Romeo and Juliet” is a tragedy that includes the death of six people. Two kids who were “in love” weren't allowed to be together because of their families feud. They claimed to be “in love,” but the truth is, this was a play about two teenagers lusting for sex. This lusting ultimately led to their untimely deaths. The Capulets and Montagues were the ultimate cause of the tragic death of Romeo and Juliet. The Capulets and Montagues freud was so bad that when Romeo enters the Capulet's party Tybalt became jealous. Tybalt’s jealousy lead to anger which made him want to fight Romeo. Mercutio who was innocent and just wanted peace between the families tried to help Romeo and lost his life, Tybalt’s anger and jealousy lead to his murder by Romeo. Romeo was banished by the Prince over a fight that started because the two families did not like each other and it caused hatred and lead to death. …show more content…

They knew their parents would not approve of it but they still did it and kept it a secret. They only got married for sex and attention. Juliet’s father eventually decided that it was time for her to get married and the man he picked to marry her she didn't want. In the play she said “And before I am married to another man, I’ll kill myself.” That's what she did and so did Romeo since the two couldn't be together they decided not to be here at all. Lady Capulet lost her life due to a broken heart because of the death of her son. The main cause of the three deaths is the Capulets and Montagues
