I believe in the benefits of sports , I believe this because through my time of playing various different sports, it helped me is so many ways physically, mentally but more importantly helped me in other ways like working hard, trust, being a leader, etc. It is challenging fitting in time and putting in the effort at first, but if you love sports as much as I do, you will make time to do what you love. In my case I played many sports basketball, football, baseball but the one sport that stood out to me the most was soccer.
Soccer is more than just a sport. Soccer is an activity which helps bring peace and unity to the world. It is something that makes people from all different ethnic groups come together. Against Redmond our starting PG was out who was our captain and we were down by 6 points, this was everyone’s chance to stand up as leaders, calm down and stay focused all we had to do is boost our offense by a bit and keep playing defense. We all played with more intensity and ended up winning the game 65-58. This helped us learn to be a leader and take action.

One of the greatest lessons I have learned as a high school athlete has been how to overcome adversity and to be resilient after failure. As with any sport, particularly basketball, many valuable character traits and qualities are obtained such as: an incredible work ethic, a competitive nature, and the ability to be an effective leader.
