Composing Process Essay
As a writer, I can adopt a system of writing that I can use most of the time. To be involved through all the composing process, I need to gather all the tools that I need such as paper and a pen, a typewriter, or a computer. I must also choose a suitable writing environment or place, and then apply my writing techniques and skills. The writing process has different ways and steps, allowing each writer to develop his or her writing in his or her own way. By describing all the steps I go through when writing, I really show my unique style of writing which can be different from the style used by others.
When it is time to get started writing, the first thing I do is to look for a noiseless place. Most of the time, I enjoy writing when I am sitting down outside under a tree, either at home or in the park. Thus, I feel peaceful and my ideas about the topic flow easily. At other time, I prefer my living room or my bedroom with a soft music. In fact, classic music stimulates my thinking abilities, energizes me when I brainstorm, and also helps me to jot down on a piece of paper any thought that comes in my mind.
Actually, paper and a pen are my favorite writing tools; though, at the end I switch to revise and finalize my writing on a computer. The use of technology when writing, such as this one of using a computer to draft my writing, affects me in two ways.

The process in which people think is different for everyone. Everyone has a different way of how they can focus or be creative. For writing, there are many different steps that each writer goes through in order to create good content. In the short story, “So, You Want to Be a Writer? Here’s How.” written by Allegra Goodman, she explains how to become a good writer. Also, in the short story she describes her writing process. Goodman’s writing process is similar to a lot of people's writing process. In a writing process, writers go to a certain location, brainstorms, and completes to write a satisfactory paper.
Writing became a way for me to express other feelings throughout my young years, but I always ended up writing in notebooks about how I was lonely and felt that I was the source of everything wrong in my life.
Those that write always have a writing process whether they know it or not. A writing process can be defined by the way an individual gears up for the project at hand. It can be as simple as finding a favorite chair to write in or the act of planning out the writing beforehand. My own personal writing process varies from task to task with a few constants. I generally start my writing process by first reconciling my project; figuring out the best way to express the needs of the work. I do not write down notes or an outline in regards to the project mostly relying on winging it so as not to get hung up on sticking to the outline. I will my best to knock out large chunks of the project before taking any breaks unless I hit a wall, and
Teachers, parents, and friends often tell students exactly what the writing process should entail and how long it should take. However, the older I get, the more I realize that the writing process varies not only from person to person, but also from one writing project to the next. Throughout my years of life, I have written countless papers, ranging from a persuasive speech to an extensive research paper, and each project requires an altered version of my personal writing process. While each individual has his own writing process, there can be many similarities between different writing processes. Finding one’s individual writing process takes trial, error, and repetition. When an individual finally uncovers his unique writing process, better thought, work, and writing is produced.
Over the past four months, I have made great strides as a writer. The area where I have seen the most growth is in my use of the writing process. Prior to my enrollment in this course, I would sit down and write all my papers in one sitting. This class has taught me how to lay out a plan for my papers. I have learned how to effectively brainstorm/research, draft, and revise my writings before I complete them. Also I have learned to not just stop there, instead I am now going back and reflecting on my work after I complete it. This allows me to identify where I prospered and also where my downfalls may have been. With this information, I am able to apply this to future writings of mine; lessons that will stay with me forever.
After writing these few essays, I understand that there are multiple ways I could have improved when in the process of writing. For example, I could have used more quotes to help solidify my writing and support some of my arguments more, I also could have brought in my experiences with history within school and maybe what I was taught about the Cold War, and lastly I think I could explain some of the major leaders better when using for my argument. Having prior knowledge about this topic would probably be the best way to prepare to revise these several essays that I have written.
I have always had a trouble in writing and after taking this GSW course I feel much more confident in my writing abilities and have learned many skills that I will always be able to use in my writing. I feel that over the course of this writing class that I have learned a lot of useful information and have grown as a writer. I have learned many skills that have improved my writing from the sources I use to the styles I write into using visuals in my papers. I have also improved my writing process. I go through many more steps to make sure my writing is to its best. I use more than just myself in my writing process I use others to help me and give me feedback on how I can improve even more on my writing. I have made a huge change in my writing
When I write a paper, it depends on how I feel and the other work I have to get done. Once I feel it is time to write, I go straight to the living room and embrace my inner Shakespeare. Normally I write at night. I tend to think better when the sun is down. To be honest, my brain works best when it is slightly tired. My best ideas come from a sleepy brain. While I am writing, I typically have a few tabs open to help me write a better paper. One tab I will aways have open is a dictionary. If I know there is a better word to use but I can not think of it, I will use the dictionary. My writing schedule is plan, procrastinate, then write. I plan out what I will write about the day I am assigned to the essay. Then I will procrastinate writing the essay because I tell myself I need time to edit my plan. Finally I will write the essay the day before it is
I can create my most creative writings in a peaceful enviroment. I'm easily distracted and as soon as I hear another noise my mind instantly steers off track. So when it's time to begin a paper I have the television off, kids in another room, and even the fan on low so I don't hear the ticking. This is my main reason for taking this class online because the sound of other key boards clicking is a huge distraction for me. I also keep a cold beverage and a junk food item on the table next to me to make the situation exciting.
In addition to being physically prepared for writing, I like to take a moment of silence before I start any writing. This gives me time to clear my mind of any miscellaneous thoughts and become focus before I start writing. This is similar to how monks meditate to keep their heads in a calm state of mind, achieving enlightenment and being able to do things better. Similarly to how people just close their eyes to gather their thoughts or to keep calm. I like to just close my eyes and gather thoughts about what I'm
My writing process is simple, extreme procrastination, free writing and then aligning the paragraphs that may make sense together. When I write I mainly just read over the prompt and just type until something happens I often write two or three different passages on the same topic and take whichever bits and pieces that seem good, that is not the best way because sometimes I confuse myself and when reading through will read what I wrote as if it was still in its unedited condition. Most of the time I will wait until the day before to start writing especially if the topic is something dumb like “write about your writing experiences”
My writing rituals are I prefer writing when I am not home. I write when work is slow or when I am on my lunch break. When I have no other choice, but to write at home I tend to watch a little TV, and get myself some something to munch on. That method clears my head from any stress I have from work, and it helps me have a little of me time. When I feel relax that is when I become committed to writing. When I experience writer’s block what I do is just take mini pauses when I am writing. I get out of my room, check my phone to text some of my friends, and check my social media to at least laugh at something, then get back to writing my essay. Quote, Question and Connection all bring the writer to think deeper into the subject their writing about, one must read the content but from the content they must derive a thought, an opinion, and a response from what they read and all must be composed on paper. The paper is the piece that blends all together into what the papers about, without the writing you would merely have a thought or idea floating within your head the writing is what helps one to express themselves and helps them acquire the skills needed to put forth the whole message of what they want or need to say.
