Amadeus Ypey (1760–1831)

Ypey, Amadeus (ē’pī). A Dutch theological writer; born in 1760; died in 1831 at Gröningen, where he was professor of church history. He wrote a ‘Literary History of Dogmatics’ (5 vols., 1793–98); ‘History of the Dutch Language’ (1812); ‘History of the Dutch Church’ (4 vols., 1820–27).
