Amanda Theodocia Jones (1835–1914)
Jones, Amanda Theodosia. An American poet; born in East Bloomfield, Ontario County, NY, Oct. 19, 1835; died in 1914. Some of her war songs were very popular. She published: ‘Ulah and Other Poems’ (1860); ‘Atlantis and Other Poems’ (1866); and ‘A Prairie Idyl, and Other Poems’ (1882); ‘Rubaiyat of Solomon’ (1905).
