Antonio Coppi (1783–1870)

Coppi, Antonio (kop’pē). An Italian economist and historian; born in Andezeno, Piedmont, April 12, 1783; died at Rome, Feb. 24, 1870. He wrote a ‘Continuation of Muratori’s Annals of Italy, from 1750’ (1824–68); and a study ‘On the Finances of Mediæval Rome’ (1855).
