Auguste Hilarion de Kératry (1769–1859)

Kératry, Auguste Hilarion de (kā-rä-trē’). A French politician; born at Rennes, Oct. 28, 1769; died at Port Marly, Nov. 7, 1859. He wrote on a great variety of subjects, his chief works being: ‘Morals and Philosophical Inductions’ (1817), and ‘The Beautiful in the Imitative Arts’ (3 vols., 1822).
