Barbarina, Lady Dacre (1767–1854)

Dacre, Barbarina Brand, Lady. An English poet and dramatist; born (Ogle) 1767; died in London, May 17, 1854. Her plays are ‘Gonzalvo of Cordova’ (1810); ‘Pedarias’ (1811), a tragedy of ancient Peruvian civilization; and ‘Ina’; in addition she wrote a series of ‘Translations from the Italian.’
