Benjamin Kidd (1858–1916)

Kidd, Benjamin. An English author and sociologist; born Sept. 9, 1858; died at South Croydon, England, Oct. 2, 1916. His famous work, ‘Social Evolution,’ which he was ten years in preparing, was published in 1894. He also wrote: ‘The Control of the Tropics’ (1898); ‘Principles of Western Civilization’ (1902); ‘South Africa’ (1902).
