Charles Heber Clark (1841–1915)

Clark, Charles Heber [“Max Adeler”]. An American journalist and humorist; born in 1841; died in 1915. He was attached to the Philadelphia Evening Bulletin, and editor of the Textile Record. He wrote: ‘Out of the Hurly-Burly’ (1874); ‘Elbow-Room’ (1876); ‘Fortunate Island, and Other Stories’ (1881); ‘The Quakeress’ (1905).
