Dinah Maria Mulock Craik (1826–1887)

Craik, Dinah Maria Mulock. An English novelist; born in Stoke-upon-Trent, April 20, 1826; died at London, Oct. 1887. ‘The Ogilvies’; ‘John Halifax, Gentleman’; ‘Two Marriages’; ‘A Brave Lady’; and ‘A Noble Life,’ are the best known of her works. (See Critical and Biographical Introduction).
