Don Marquis (1878–1937)

Marquis, Don. An American journalist; born at Walnut, Bureau Co., IL, July 29, 1878; died in 1937. He was associated with a number of newspapers; after 1912 conducting a column of humorous and satiric comment in the Evening Sun (New York). He published: ‘Danny’s Own Story’ (1912); ‘Dreams and Dust’ (1915).
