Gabriello Chiabrera (1552–1638)
Chiabrera, Gabriello (kē-ä-brā’rä). An Italian lyric poet (1552–1638); born at Savona. His odes gave him the name of the “Italian Pindar.” He wrote also epics, dramatic poems, Anacreontic songs, and an autobiography.
