Gustaf Henrik Mellin (1803–1876)

Mellin, Gustaf Henrik (mel-lēn’). A Swedish novelist; born at Revolax, Finland, April 23, 1803; died on Aug. 2, 1876. He was a pastor at Norra Wram (1851). Most of his novels deal with Swedish history. Among them are: ‘The Flower of Kinnekulle’ (3d ed. 1831); ‘Sivard Kruse’s Wedding’ (2d ed. 1832); ‘Anna Reibnitz’ (2d ed. 1833). He produced also historical, biographical, and poetical writings.
