Iamblichus (c. 250–c. 330)

Iamblichus (jam’bli-kus). A Syrian philosopher; born at Chalcis, Cœle-Syria; died about 330 A.D. He was the author of numerous philosophical works written from the Neo-Platonic point of view, among them an ‘Exhortation to Philosophy.’ He also wrote a ‘Life of Pythagoras.’
