Jacopo Filippo Tomasini (1595–1655)

Tomasini, Jacopo Filippo (tō-mä-sē’nē). An Italian miscellaneous writer; born at Padua, 1595; died in 1655, at Citta Nuova in Istria, of which see he was bishop. He wrote: ‘Lives of Illustrious Men, with Portraits’ (1630); ‘Petrarch Come to Life Again’ (1635), a work of curious interest; ‘On Votive Offerings’ (1629).
