James Otis Kaler (1848–1912)

Kaler, James Otis. An American journalist; born in Winterport, ME, March 19, 1848; died on Dec. 11, 1912. Under the pen-name of “James Otis” he published tales for the young, including: ‘Toby Tyler’ (1880); ‘Left Behind’ (1882); ‘Mr. Stubb’s Brother’ (1883); a sequel to Toby Tyler; ‘Silent Pete’ (1885).
