Jonge, Johan Karel Jakob de (yong’ė). A Dutch historian, son of Johannes; born at The Hague, June 17, 1828; died there, March 15, 1880. He has studied the colonial history of his country with effect, as ‘The Rise of Netherland Dominion in the East Indies’ (1862–78), and other works, demonstrate.
