John Karasoutzas (1824–1873)

Karasoutzas, John (kä-rä-sö’tzas). A modern Greek poet; born at Smyrna, July 9, 1824; died on April 3, 1873. His verse, patriotic and graceful, appears in ‘Lyrics’ (1839); ‘Breath of the Morn’ (1846); ‘Kleonike’ (1868), a narrative poem; etc.
