Leberecht Uhlich (1799–1872)

Uhlich, Leberecht (ö’liċh). A German church reformer; born at Cothen, Feb. 27, 1799; died at Magdeburg, March 23, 1872. He founded the independent ecclesiastical organization styled “Free Parishes.” Among his writings are: ‘Christianity and Church’ (2d ed. 1846); ‘The Little Book of tha Kingdom of God’ (1845); ‘Thrones in Heaven and on Earth’ (1845).
