Louisa Lilias Greene (1833–1891)

Greene, Louisa Lilias, Hon. An English writer of juveniles; born (third Lord Plunket’s daughter) in 1833; died in 1891. Her works, widely popular, include: ‘A Winter and Summer at Burton Hill’ (1861); ‘Cushions and Corners’ (1664); ‘The Schoolboy Baronet’ (1870); ‘Gilbert’s Shadow’ (1875); ‘Jubilee Hall’ (1881). She wrote with her cousin W. H. Wills, the dramatist; ‘Drawing-Room Dramas’; ‘Prince Crœsus, in Search of a Wife’ (1873), a translation.
