Mrs. John King Van Rensselaer (1848–1925)

Van Rensselaer, May King (Mrs. John King). An American writer of historical fiction; born in New York City, May 25, 1848; died in 1925. Among her published works are ‘Crochet Lace’ (1882); ‘The Devil’s Picture Books’ (1887); ‘New Yorkers of the Nineteenth Century’ (1899). She also edited ‘A Girl’s Life Eighty Years Ago.’
