Albert, Paul (äl-bãr’). A French literary historian (1827–80); succeeded Loménie as professor of French Literature at the College of France. His works include: ‘French Literature’ (1872–82); ‘Poets and Poetry’ (1881); ‘Moral and Literary Varieties’ (1881).
