Sophie Alberti (1826–1892)

Alberti, Sophie (Sophie Verena) (ve-rā’nä). A German miscellaneous writer; born in Potsdam, Aug. 5, 1826; died there, Aug. 15, 1892. She wrote the popular novel ‘A Son of the South’ (1859), and a collection of tales entitled ‘Old and New’ (1879).
