Thomas Wallace Knox (1835–1896)

Knox, Thomas Wallace. An American prose-writer and traveler; born in Pembroke, NH, June 25, 1835; died in New York City, Jan. 6, 1896. He made a journey around the world as a newspaper correspondent in 1866. His published works include: ‘Underground Life’ (1873); ‘How to Travel’ (1880); ‘Lives of Blaine and Logan’ (1884); ‘Decisive Battles since Waterloo’ (1887).
