William Ellery Channing (1818–1901)

Channing, William Ellery. An American poet, nephew of the previous; born in Boston, June 10, 1818; died at Concord, Dec. 23, 1901. He was author of ‘Poems’ (1843–47); ‘The Woodman’ (1849); ‘Near Home’ (1858); ‘The Wanderer’ (1872); ‘Conversations in Rome’ (1847); and ‘Thoreau the Poet-Naturalist’ (1873).
