Throughout the ages, how have most people responded to new ideas: with acceptance or resistance?
The response of most people to new ideas with acceptance or resistance.
Answer to Problem 2RQ
People always oppose new ideas, as new ideas are hard to believe.
Explanation of Solution
Scientific thought or new ideas have always been opposed by common man throughout the ages. It usually happens that new ideas are contradictory to the belief of the time.
For example, when Galileo supported the Copernican view, that the rotation of Earth is around the Sun, with experiments, he was arrested for contradicting the earlier fact that Earth is stationary at the center of the universe. Thus, new ideas have always met resistance from common man’s side.
Conclusion:
Therefore, people always oppose new ideas, as new ideas are hard to believe.
