Celsius Temperature Table
The formula for converting a temperature from Fahrenheit to Celsius is
where F is the Fahrenheit temperature and C is the Celsius temperature. Write a method named celsius that accepts a Fahrenheit temperature as an argument. The method should return the temperature, converted to Cetsius. Demonstrate the method by calling it in a loop that displays a table of the Fahrenheit temperatures 0 through 20 and their Celsius equivalents.

- Add Fractions problem: create in a sandbox environment. Directions: In this program you will ask the user for 4 integers that represtent two fractions. First ask for the numerator of the first and then the denominator. Then ask for the numerator and denominator of the second. Your program should add the two fractions and print out the result. For example: a sample program run might look like this, Numerator One: 1 Denominator One: 2 Numerator Two: 2 Denominator Two: 5 The sum is 9/10 //remember if you have two fractions, the following formula should be used: a/b + c/d = (a*d +b*c) / b* d public class MyProgram { public static void main(String[] args) { //Ask the user for 4 numbers. (don't forget to import your Scanner class) //create your final numerator //create your final denominator //print out your result like the example abovearrow_forwardVBA - EXCEL Engine – optional – this indicates the solving method that needs to be used to get to a solution. 1 for the Simplex LP method, 2 for the GRG Nonlinear method, or 3 for the Evolutionary method. The theater has two rows of five seats each. Each row is referred to by number (1 or 2) and each seat in the row is referred to by letter (A, B, C, D, and E). When started, the program should ask the user for the row they prefer (row selection). If that row has no empty seats then the program should ask the user if they prefer the other row, if no then display a message stating the next show is tomorrow. Upon selecting a row, the program should present the user with a choice of available seats in the row. The user can then either choose a seat and print the ticket (in this case a simple message will suffice) or return to row selection. If a ticket is printed the program should return to row selection. The program terminates when all seats are reserved.arrow_forward

Use Windows to make a copy of the Grade Solution folder. Rename the copy Grade Solution-Intermediate. Open the Grade Solution.sln file contained in the Grade Solution-Intermediate folder. Open the CourseGrade.vb file. The DetermineGrade method should accept an integer that represents the total number of points that can be earned in the course. (Currently, the total number of points is 200: 100 points per test.) For an A grade, the student must earn at least 90% of the total points. For a B, C, and D grade, the student must earn at least 80%, 70%, and 60%, respectively. If the student earns less than 60% of the total points, the grade is F. Make the appropriate modifications to the DetermineGrade method and then save the solution. Unlock the controls on the form. Add a label control and a text box to the form. Change the label control’s Text property to “&Maximum points:” (without the quotation marks). Change the text box’s name to txtMax. Lock the controls and then reset the tab order. Open the form’s Code Editor window. The txtMax control should accept only numbers and the Backspace key. Code the appropriate procedure. The grade should be cleared when the user makes a change to the contents of the txtMax control. Code the appropriate procedure. Modify the frmMain_Load procedure so that each list box displays numbers from 0 through 200. Locate the btnDisplay_Click procedure. If the txtMax control does not contain a value, display an appropriate message. The maximum number allowed in the txtMax control should be 400; if the control contains a number that is more than 400, display an appropriate message. The statement that calculates the grade should pass the maximum number of points to the studentGrade object’s DetermineGrade method. Make the necessary modifications to the procedure. Save the solution and then start and test the application.arrow_forwardPrime Numbers A prime number is a number that can be evenly divided by only itself and 1. For example, the number 5 is prime because it can be evenly divided by only 1 and 5. The number 6, however, is not prime because it can be evenly divided by 1, 2, 3, and 6. Write a Boolean method named IsPrime that takes an integer as an argument and returns true if the argument is a prime number or false otherwise. Use the method in an application that lets the user enter a number and then displays a message indicating whether the number is prime.arrow_forward
- Methods with an empty parameter list and do not return a value: [Questions 1-8 required] You invoke a method by its name followed by a pair of brackets and the usual semi-colon Write a method called DisplayPersonalInfo(). This method will display your name, school, program and your favorite course. Call the DisplayPersonalInfo() method from your program Main() method Write a method called CalculateTuition(). This method will prompt the user for the number of courses that she is currently taking and then calculate and display the tuition cost. (cost = number of course * 569.99). Call the CalculateTuition() method two times from the same Main() method as in question 1. Write a method call CalculateAreaOfCircle(). This method will prompt the user for the radius of a circle and then calculate and display the area.[A = πr2].Call the CalculateAreaOfCircle() method twice from the same Main() method as in question 1. To calculate the price, you multiply the area of the floor (width times length) by the price per square foot of carpet. For example, the area of floor that is 12 feet long and 10 feet wide is 120 square feet. To cover that floor with carpet that costs $8 per square foot would cost $960. First, you should create a class named RoomDimension that has two fields: one for the length of the room and one for the width. The RoomDimension class should have a method that returns the area of the room. (The area of the room is the room’s length multiplied by the room’s width.) Next you should create a RoomCarpet class that has a RoomDimension object as a field. It should also have a field for the cost of the carpet per square foot. The RoomCarpet class should have a method that returns the total cost of the carpet. Figure 8-20 is a UML…arrow_forwardDesign the worst calculator ever: an application that accepts two numbers from the user and, when a button is pushed, performs a single operation and displays the results. You may choose: Multiplication, Division, Subtraction, square root, or raising the first number to the exponent of the second number. Don't use addition as we already did that in class. The result must be displayed to the user only when an appropriately labeled button is pushed.arrow_forward
