Chapter 9, Problem 5PE
Program Plan Intro
Word Frequency
Program plan:
- • Declare a function named “wordfrequency()”.
- ○ Create an empty dictionary “wDictionary”.
- ○ Prompt the user for the input file and assign it to “infile”.
- ○ Open the file in read mode using a handle “fileRead”.
- ○ Use “for” to iterate the file and strip the lines using “strip()”.
- ○ Use another “for” loop to iterate the lines and split each line into words using “split”.
- ○ Use an “if” statement to check whether the word is present in the dictionary keys. When the statement returns true, add the word to the dictionary increment and increment its count; otherwise set its count to “1”.
- ○ Prompt the user for the output file and assign it to “outfile”.
- ○ Open the file in the write mode using a handle “fileWrite”.
- ○ Use a “for” loop to iterate the dictionary and write the word and its frequency to the output file and also print the same in the console.
- • In the “main()” function,
- ○ Call the function “wordfrequency()”.
- • Finally, call the “main()” to execute the program.

8. Name and Email Addresses
Write a program that keeps names and email addresses in a dictionary as key-value pairs. The program should display a menu that lets the user look up a person’s email address, add a new name and email address, change an existing email address, and delete an existing name and email address. The program should pickle the dictionary and save it to a file when the user exits the program. Each time the program starts, it should retrieve the dictionary from the file and unpickle it.
Python Programming Assignment: Create a dictionary that takes a basketball team's information (that includes team's name and points) as parameter, creates a teams_dict and returns it. Also, create a parameter for write_file parameter that opens current results text file in write mode and writes the dictionary information to file as per format and closes the file.
Part II: Image Representation An image is an array, or a matrix, of pixels (picture elements) arranged in columns and rows. RGB is one of the models used in color pixels. In a color image, each RGB pixel is an integer number which contains the mixture of red, green and blue colors. In this assignment, you will be provided with an image data file, image.dat. The first line in data file contains the height (rows) and width (columns) of the image. The following lines gives the red, green and blue color integer values for each pixel. The following sample.dat is given as an example: (The given example can be seen on the picture down)
According to this input file, the image has 4 rows and 2 columns. The pixel at [0][0] has red value 117, green value 117 and blue value 245. Write a Java program that reads from the given input file and creates an RGB image object with the given width and height. Then, it'll read red, green and blue color values for each pixel from data file, and calculate RGB…

- #program should be wrote in python with comments please. Write a program that reads the contents of a text file. The program should create a dictio-nary in which the keys are the individual words found in the file and the values are the number of times each word appears. For example, if the word “the” appears 128 times, the dictionary would contain an element with 'the' as the key and 128 as the value. - Programming Challenge #7: Word Frequency Count: Write a program that allows the user to specify a text file, opens the file, and prints a two-column table consisting of all the words in the file together with the number of times that each word appears. Words are space-delimited and case-sensitive. The table should list the words in alphabetical order.arrow_forwardphyton Topics: list and list processing You will write a program to read grade data from a text file, displays the grades as a 5-column table, and then print the statistics (min, max, median, and median). You can assume that the input file only one number per line. You can assume the user always enter a file that exists. The median is the value in the middle of a sorted list. To sort a list, use list.sort() function. It’s computed as below. For a list of odd length, the middle number is just the length divide by 2. For the list, [1,2,3], the median is 2 since 2 is in the middle of the list. The middle index is 3//2, which is 1. Remember that // is the integer division operator. When the length of the list is even, there are two middle numbers. The median is the average of the two middle numbers. For example, [1,2,3,4], the median is (2+3)/2 = 2.5. The two middle indexes for this example are (4//2)-1 = 1 and (4//2) = 2. Functions you need to write: read_grades() Prompts…arrow_forwardWord Puzzle GameIn this assignment is only for individual.
